  1. This isn't an "oversight". Most docks won't scratch it. Some are seemingly bent somehow and that's what's causing it, but it's not an "oversight". They even put buffers in so the dock wouldn't make contact with the Switch itself under normal circumstances to try and prevent this
  2. They're right and the other companies say the same: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=231487975&postcount=45 Among others Oh I agree, it sucks, but all companies have a limit of dead pixels they tolerate before calling it a defect.
  3. Thing is, dead pixels are such a common thing in LCD stuff and other companies have similar policies to Nintendo, including Apple, Dell, Sony, LG etc.
  4. I want to know where the hell they got the "thousands" from. The only thing I can work out is the amount of replies to a reddit thread
  5. Bump. A new version update has happened. It adds all 81 Alola Pokémon, 18 Alolan Forms and a myriad of Pikachu variants, Shiny Pokémon and alternate forms for Zygarde, Castform and Deoxys
  6. It shouldn't, no. And most don't.
  7. What launch hardware hasn't had similar issues? Controller desync problem - Yeah I've experienced this, but then did that suggested update then full reboot and don't get it as much. Poor Wifi connections - Mine seems fine. Managed to pick up my WiFi from the other side of the house Straps getting stuck if put on the wrong joycon - Well yeah, if you force something to fit that won't fit then it'll get stuck Docks stratching screens - Seems that some docks are bent and that's what is causing it. Mine's fine. People just need to be careful Dead pixels - This happens with all LCD screens. All companies will not do a refund/replacement on just one or two. Some needing at least 5 to do it. Completely ruined screens - Usually their fault by manhandling. I don't know what else could cause that The only proper issues are the first two and dead pixels. Maybe bent docks, but the docks as standard do not scratch the screen unless you're pulling it out with ridiculous force. Even with a bent dock, it shouldn't scratch it as much as some of the photos have suggested.
  8. Bomberman is apparently doing well
  9. Enemies standing on metal. Throw a box down that has electricity. Enemies die. I love this game
  10. Great haul from my 30th anniversary amiibo today. Got the Biggoron Sword, the sword from the original LoZ, the Boomerang from Wind Waker
  11. See, I still don't think they need to. For everyone at home, again the difference is psychological. They can bring the big guns with a pre-prepared presentation without all the awkward bits, pause for applause and so forth. January's Switch event was good...in the bits that were pre-recorded. Everything else was awkward. I think we're starting to move beyond the live presentations at E3. I think other companies will eventually follow suit and do pre-recorded livestreams. It's no coincidence that many people think at the best presentations are ones that just give you a 1-2 of game reveal/trailer rather than awkward stage demonstrations.
  12. Nintendo have been at E3 physically with huge booths every year, so yes.
  13. Not an amazing launch but solid. Do wish it had done better
  14. Yeah, I've barely touched the story but have spent so much time exploring. This always happens with open world games, but Breath of the Wild brings it up to 11. It's just so open
  15. Ah. I just got the Shrine of Power quest so this one will likely appear now. Thanks
  16. Finding myself dying a lot less now. I just needed to adapt how I played early on. Now, I am a master of the combat. Still loving it though. I have almost 50 shrines done now. Lots more to do, but I'm finding the shrines harder and harder to find now :/ Though...
  17. I am super happy with this device. The UI is ridiculously fast. It feels really good quality. Not had any issues. I just wish the UI had more soul. It's too clean, too sterile. Too lacking love
  18. Really enjoying this. Been playing the last 8 hours (I don't have Parental Controls active so can't see what was done) so sitting at around 30 hours so far. Two divine beasts done, still don't feel like I've scratched the surface. So much to do and I want to do it all before facing Calamity Ganon
  19. Sounds pretty standard for a Bluetooth device. Most come with similar guidelines. It's still ridiculous. Boost the signal!
  20. So I just had a Moblin not be able to find his weapon, so he threw a Bokoblin at me...
