This is true Maybe they'll do something like the Pokémon Zukan Carddass sets they keep coming out withand use it like that. My mum actually got me a Celebi card from that set for my birthday. They release a card of each Pokémon. Just wing NFC chips in there, job done.

It becoming "standardised" is reason enough for developers to put a focus on it.

So because gameplay has stagnated that means it's no longer important? Because developers are choosing to sideline it rather than experiment with it, it makes it overrated? You're just accepting that developers have sidelined the importance of gameplay and are ceasing innovation and are just falling into what they're saying.

NFC chips aren't that expensive. We'll either get like 1 card less per pack, like they did in the e-Reader times, or they'll eat the loss

It all depends how they're going to handle NX launch and what NX actually is. I am still of the belief that NX is the architecture/OS across multiple platforms which may share games if the developers wish, but does not have to, due to Iwata essentially saying that. So, my theory is NX Handheld 2016, NX Console 2017. As such, Mario is far more likely for NX Handheld launch, whereas Zelda will be Wii U in 2016 still, or launch of NX Console in 2017

Don't count awesome rewards out yet. They know how much people in Japan and Europe love them. Just because Club Nintendo is going doesn't mean we're not going to continue to get cool stuff

Yo-kai Watch Busters is a spin-off title based on the multiplayer feature they added in Yo-kai Watch 2. It's not a main Yo-kai game

Fairly popular. Though, Pokémon cards have done this before with the e-Reader. Created mini-games etc. Many games out in 2002 to 2005 had e-Reader compatibility, specific card sets etc. Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire did Pokémon Channel did Pokémon Colosseum did Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire did Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen did Pokémon Emerald did The standard TCG sets: Expedition, Aquaopolis and Skyridge all had many cards with long barcodes. They included extra moves for the card, various mini-games and construction data blocks to create a platform game. Subsequent sets also had Pokédex data. So it's not that much of a jump that they'll do something like this again.
