  1. Valid point. Apologies
  2. Rainmaker goes live on Saturday morning!
  3. There we go http://store.nintendo.co.uk/amiibo/animal-crossing-amiibo-cards-pack-series-1/11155586.html £3.49 a pack. That's far more tolerable than the prices ShopTo, GAME and Amazon are charging
  4. There's a thing called the 100-Mario Challenge in the game. In it, it gets 100 random levels from the online pool and has you play them with 100 lives. The further you get, the better you are. You can even unlock Costume Mario skins by doing it
  5. Yeah, I'm so psyched for this game too. While not havingeverything right away sucks, I'm going to make some awesome levels with the available tools as it is
  6. List of the unlocks from GAF I guess it can inspire creativity so people don't go all in with "lol let's throw everything at people" and can help the more casual player get into it, but I just wish they said "Or you could unlock it all now"
  7. Yeah. By the time I'll unlock everything, I'll have to stop playing for a week or two to cover Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
  8. Ironfall Invasion has temporarily been removed
  9. Try getting 100% in 4-S without any badges/mellow mode. Ultimate skill ceiling example. You should enjoy Yoshi
  10. http://store.nintendo.co.uk/games-wii-u/project-zero-maiden-of-black-water-limited-edition-bundle/11159116.html? £49.99
  11. I dunno, I can see this sort of thing you're describing in New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi and so on. Nintendo games lately have typically been easy to finish, tricky to master.
  12. Interesting way to look at it. Though if you say Wii U is a middle ground, then surely that defeats your point as it shows they're trying to do what you suggested.
  13. I think the issue with people about the N64 emulation is that they're looking at Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie for it. Those aren't emulated N64 titles, you're getting the remasters that came on the 360. The other titles, the ones actually being emulated, have a multitude of reported issues. The N64 emulation on Wii U is better than Rare Replay's. The emulation is top notch (sometimes running better as per DK 64) but has an annoying filter, but that has nothing to do with emulation Also, please explain how the physics have been "dumbed down" in recent games. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone say such a thing.
  14. I too would go subscription model (if you could also pay to download). I do agree that each of the console's prices for VC should be reduced by £1 or £2 as well, but I wouldn't say it's extortion I just don't agree with the problems with online. Voice chat being missing sucks, sure, but the actual online system works well and they don't charge you for it. The games function beautifully online. While Mario Kart had some teething problems, I very rarely have any errors, yet on other devices I keep getting kicked out of matches. The games Nintendo put out are still among the best in the industry, so I will never fall out of "love" with them, and it really baffles me when people say they have. Have they made questionable choices on hardware? Sure, but hardware isn't everything and the software is still fantastic.
  15. Because when we've lost you, we've lost one of pieces of the heart and soul
  16. Splatoon is a massive online game. Super Mario Maker relies so much on online as well. The online on Wii U is phenomenal (and free). It may lack voice chat, but the online itself, nor the implementation in games, is not shoddy
  17. Biggest game of the year was online multiplayer. Next big game out has huge online features. They're not exactly shoddy either. Besides, I play games for games. Are there droughts? Sure, but blown out of proportion. It's actually taking me back to retro things I missed like Donkey Kong '94 and Donkey Kong Jungle Climber. Their are games out practically every month, sometimes two or more a month. Hardly a drought. Don't make excuses. Your love may be out right now, but I disagree with your premise for the lack of love.
  18. Why? Because one company makes a compilation of games and sells for cheap, with the N64 ones having issues. Do you not believe you're taking it to extremes? Yeah there's a few things about the VC that I dislike and they have done wrong, but the quality of emulation is top notch. Which would you prefer? Cheap but issues with emulation or more expensive where the games are emulated perfectly, although they have a silly filter on.
  19. I may be wrong, but I heard there are a crapload of issues with the N64 games on Rare Replay. Issues with it freezing, frame rate dropping like crazy etc. Of course we'll see more. First party ones for sure, and maybe a couple of the third parties still close to Nintendo.
  20. There are Pikachu fanboys of the Pikachu, too! Not to mention terrifying Pikachu Heeeeeeeeeeere's Pika! Source: I suddenly want to go to Yokohama
  21. These Mario Kart 7 Trophies are now available from the Club Nintendo Stars Catalogue! http://ntdo.co.uk/20
  22. But that's not all! https://twitter.com/duffmay_maygela/status/630717170108923904?autoplay=true https://twitter.com/1052mm/status/630248924930965508
  23. You have no idea how glad I am Pokémon hasn't done this
  24. Yikes. Level 5 working with Ubisoft for it, obviously
