You've got a 'fake' quad core though so you can do all that jazz... (haha) A question if anybody will answer, I know I'm spamming this place. I have a biped in a boat. He will be holding some oars as soon as I get round to setting it all up, but is there a way to keep one point of the oars in one place at all times so that it won't be jumping around everywhere. For example about a third the way down set a point there so that point will stay there whatever direction you pull the hands in? I can't really explain it very well...

It's rendering fine now in 9 32bit. It's just taking ages. After messing with stuff it looks pretty good. About 20 seconds a frame, with 150 frames. First 6 seconds is done in 40 minutes or thereabouts. Halfway done now anyways. Oh and another quick question. I have a biped which a .bip file was put onto, a walk animation. It was on the spot so I, for 4 hours, keyframed the little diamond in it's pelvis to move along a walkway. Is there a way to move all of this animation elsewhere in the same scene? So it's going from A to B, but I want to skip out B to C and just do C to D, if that makes sense.

Life saver. I've had to drastically cut back on a few things just so I can actually move around in the thing. Putting in trees now and mental ray ran out of memory. Then the program ran out of memory...

This thread may be old but it's on topic. Can anyone tell me how I can make one of the viewports, in 3ds max, display the exact resolution/picture that a camera in a scene is looking at? My lecturers told us once but he doesn't give a crap and just flew through it and I wasn't quick enough to follow it.

It's not a time plan. It's just a plan of what I need to do. I've no idea how long each will take. It'll take as long as it takes is my motto, so I'll keep doing it until it's done. This is only when I'm under pressure. Haha. 6 second walk cycle is now done! I just need to get a camera in, some lights and trees and hopefully it'll look good. All that's left on the plan for today is to do another walk animation. This one took about 4 hours. σ_σ

I've been working non stop since 12pm bar the small breaks to check emails and look for tutorials. What I'm doing now is a little bit fun but it's extremely long and slightly tedious. If there was a quick fix it'd save me so much time. But right now I don't know of/can't find one. I've got my next 2 days and 3 hours all planned out so I might be able to get it all done IF all goes well and I can do what I want to do with the program not limiting me.

Man I hate Oasis... sounds like every other song they sing. Shame they're gonna ruin what sounds like an awesome Production IG anime with that song. Although. I don't watch the openings anyways. Naruto, even though it felt slow, that usually happens in any media. A slow bit slotted into a fast paced section just to calm it down a bit. Also I randomly watched the first few seconds of a Eureka 7 trailer, for the series, and it was dubbed. Renton's voice was horrible. It nearly ruined the show for me.

I say do it. I had to pay £270 to do Japanese lessons, for the school year, at Uni. It's been much more fun than the course I'm actually doing which I'm paying 3 grand for. I've gained a lot more friends by going, better friends than who I spend my real lessons with. If anything do it to just do something. I don't know how demanding your part time job is but this couldn't put too much stress on you could it. Today I shot my lecturer in the face. irl.

I managed to pull myself out of bed at 12 today. As soon as I had a coffee by my side the work began. It's not been a full on marathon of work, I've just been doing it steadily. Pretty much taking shape now. All I need to do after all this work is probably a lot harder work. Prooobably shouldn't have left it till the last week before hand in.

I dunno who Stekov is but I know that Kov, my flatmate, used to post on this place under the name Stefkov. Hell, I was just playing Gears of War 2 with him just before. I asked him a while ago why he did not post on here anymore after telling me about this place, he laughed manically and carried on slaughtering small children/locust. I've not asked anything about it since. I shall ask him tomorrow if he remembers this Dante fellow. I'm pretty sure he showed me a funny picture once, something about weak RAM?

I haven't looked at it full screen yet as I've not watched Clannad: AS but there is a diagram explaining the storyline in both the first series and AS. I'll put it in a spoiler box. It makes me laugh that a spoiler box I create I cannot see the contents of either... But if you're interested as I know a few people here are. Apparently it's quite good.

Although I am relatively new here that is some bad news Jordan. I am sorry for your suffering. Kyou, I probably aced a test and improved significantly in an aspect of another test. Only one more test left now. It shall be fun. Now I shall eat an apple and procrastinate. Who shall join me?

After watching and finishing Baccano and the OVAs, never has an anime made me happy and laugh throughout it all. I was fine with the end of the series but then the 3 OVAs carried it on and made it even better. I love how there was no main character like explained at the end, no-one to attach yourself to to follow even if they're bad and you hate them you still follow them because you're made to (Kurono from Gantz...). I'm gonna check out the other media regarding this series, it's gotta be good.

I got a mark back in one module for an assignment, which I think is worth maybe under half of the overall grade for that module, and got an A. It's a shame knowing that if I carried on with this course, I could keep churning out a utter tripe and pass. In one module I have, which I now think is the best module of the course, all of the hand ins I have submitted have all been night before pieces of work bar 1 which I just did as soon as I had an idea, which then led on to me having a month break from that because the deadline was extended. Carrying on, most of the work I've done the night before the deadline and I've not got under a B grade. I'm not sure if it's because we're first years they're being quite lenient, or this course really is crap and relies on you doing more work in your own time to add to your portfolio thus voiding the need to pay £3000 a year for lecturers to teach you either nothing, or the very basics of a program you could pick up by reading tutorials on the internet. So tell me, what is with this shit?

Latest Naruto is so awesome. The Gurren Lagann manga has reached a saddening point. It doesn't happen till next chapter but knowing what happens is not good. I started Baccano just earlier. It's been pretty confusing with it jumping back and forth in time telling stories.

Yesterday was a (a word) day. Had noodle sup for din dins which was awesome. Had some very thin noodles though so I will be getting the other thicker ones next time. At 10 me and a flat mate started playing Gears of War 2. After I don't know how long we started the first Rainbow 5 game, which went on till 5:15 this morning. I awoke 46 minutes ago. Success.

Today the funniest thing happened. Whilst walking back to the University, in town there was 2 guys stood next to a pretty expensive video camera. Obviously this wouldn't funny if nothing happened, so I'll say it. The camera, on its tripod, just fell over. The viewfinder popped right off. It was pretty much screwed. The guy made it funny though, he stood there like a really shocked woman. Hands over mouth. Looked like there would be a patch of water around his feet, but there wasn't. Apart from that, an alright day. It trenched to a low point when the name of a game was heard when I overheard a conversation. A name of a game you never speak of unless the people are the type of people who play that sort of game. Yes.
