  1. Fight Club You’re not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your fucking khakis. You’re the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. Need I say more? I will anyway. Fantastic film. It's disparaging view on modern society is brutal but cleverly portrayed. It's brilliantly made, I loved the camera work and effects, they fit so perfectly. Some of the dialogue is just out of this world, even little things like ''Marla is like a scratch on the roof of your mouth. It would go away if you stopped tonguing it but you can't'', just excellent. The violence is necessary I'd say, I didn't feel it was over the top in the context. Plus I love how there were little bits of satire in the narrative that almost cushion the extreme themes being dealt with. Is it really a film about mental illness? I don't know, I'm still thinking on that one. Oh yeah and The Pixies; I squealed with delight. 9/10
  2. Haha, sorry. I also backtracked with 'your lips look nice' which admittedly isn't what I meant to say at all.
  3. Johnny 5 is alive? No one is denying it. But still, no Right you are I'm off, expect a review later.
  4. 1 vote each way, I need a decider!! I've not seen Memento either! I think I saw Fight Club ageeees ago, but I can't remember the twisty type thing so it's as if it's unseen and equally exciting. I'm just not in the mood for comics, I need televisual (a word?) entertainment. I need it now.
  5. It is an extremely annoying phrase, I prefer 'Broken Britain' for pure comedy value. I just imagine Chris Morris talking about it on Brasseye and I forget all my money woes.
  6. I should really do something constructive; some work, applications, or even reading, but I feel like watching a film... I can't decide, Fight Club or Memento??...GO!
  7. An elderly man just made my day. He came through on the phone and when I told him my name he asked me if I'd heard ''the one about the face on the side of the train'', he then sang Johnny Mercer's Laura to me, well this bit: And you see Laura on the train that is passing through, Those eyes, how familiar they seem; She gave your very first kiss to you, That was Laura but she's only a dream. It was just amazingly funny and brilliant. Grats Dan!! How can I read it without buying the magazine?
  8. Haha, how are you finding my subliminal messages so easily?
  9. Oi! I was listening all night, then you happened to show me the Nude remix, but that is amazing tbf.
  10. lmao, filth! In other news, I've been on a constant Radiohead loop of elation and despair this evening.
  11. I enjoyed! Reminds me of 80's glam rock in some ways. I like how my head naturally starts bouncing and I feel the goodness.
  12. You're filming? Ah shucks, I gotta watch some paint dry that day
  13. Oh you know... busyness, bureaucracy, bastards, Bojangles. I might write that on my arm, what do you think?
  14. My day, a bit rubbish really. I like your watch btw; big, strong and manly, heh. I read your article and seen as I've never played the game, I still very much enjoyed! My favourite bit was this:
  15. lol, indeed. Two weeks of 10-6's in a row for me, unbelievable. I tried my best charm with Batman's sidekick and he just said I should have asked reSourceman weeks ago, el bastardo.
  16. Are you on lunch now? We could be hanging out. I love how busy it is today *screams*
  17. They don't let me out in public these days so it's not really an issue. I appreciate your concern for them though.
  18. It was a summer heights high reference. Nevermind, I'm just gonna go back to my elephant man cave.
  19. I am building a bridge and getting over that burn.
  20. I put up pics Jayseven and got...kevin kline. There will be no more pics
  21. Don't say that. I already have a complex
  22. For Bard and Dan, I won't do a list! Been to a few gigs, not enough by far but there's the money and the laziness factor. Not the best band I've seen but the best gig was Robots in Disguise. It was in a small basement club in Manchester, maybe 40 people there. Atmosphere was awesome; intimate and electric, everyone was just so excitable. Was loving the electro punky sound too of course.
