Fuck me you are kidding right? Resistance 2 takes fracking ages, 10,000 kills competitive and the massive time needed in the co-op mode....

But they aren't original and I don't see them being pleasing in any way. If you spend long enough playing you can get them but there's no point. As I've said it's not something the developer thought about and making trophies difficult to understand and figure out how much you need to do is a bad trophy.

Although he 'known' already. The name doesn't ring a bell though.

Yeah that's what I said to MatHat, maybe get games I've missed out on as well as cathup on uncompleted trophies/games.

This game is the only game where I have played it and thought that I won't be able to do it. If I played it I knew the frustration would far outweigh the positive experiences, so just sold it for a profit. If you buy that arcade it you are pretty much going to have to play it extensively in order to make it worth your while.

I'd have to say I agree, but it's nice having a blu-ray player anyway. I'll get the odd blu-ray but stick to DVD more often.

The PS3 is hard and expensive to develop for no? Especially from Wii games.

I'm sorry but I read those trophies and couldn't help but laugh at how rubbish they were, detailing 10 different figures for people to achieve in the game just for one bronzetrophy just shows that trophies weren't high on their agenda. Looks like PS3 will have a shit summer if IGN are anything to go by: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/996/996143p1.html My arse.

Man I didn't realise you were capable of non BS posts Shino.

When let us know when you have installed some sort of anti-smug device as well. A mirror maybe? I will enjoy my fairly high priced HDTV depite your disapproval.

That doesn't make the Socom trophies any more acceptable, and for preferring Socom I laugh at you from this text-based web-page.

Thought I'd be a nob and post some short reviews of games which I think sums up the games well. Cooky disagrees but I'm used to people disagreeing with me: Socom Confrontation: I just admit that I wasted 20 quid with this game. 99% of it is waiting, dying and sweating from suspense. The other 1% is just confusion and not knowing what the f*ck is going on. It doesn't make me want to learn the ropes because there's no character in the game or any incentive for me to play it, which is highlighted by the diabolical trophy choices that the fiendish designers thought would make for a good laugh when they made it during a drunken night in. There's no tutorial or story, so why would I want to join the ranks of the online wankers that blatantly drive BMWs because they have such good experience at being smug in their use of bluetooth headsets when they call you a noob down the speaker? Motorstorm: Pacific Rift I want to like this game more than I do but I just can't. There have been many moments that made me laugh and cheer - either because there has been a hilarious crash or because you pull of some insane driving. But so much of the game is spent in sheer frustration as your vehicle doesn't seem fast enough. You have the accelerator on full power after a turn with boost being applied until the X button knows it may be permanently locked in place yet you still appear to be going at 5mph as your Monster Truck explodes from being such a pussy (in truck terms). This gives you the feeling that there is constantly a car doing you up the exhaust pipe as you stare helplessly at the screen watching your monster trying to get grip on mud-coloured ice. Why have the boost limit? If everyone has infinite boost it's still a level playing field whilst being more fun to play. The person that thought of it only included it so that they could conform to normal conventions in racing games and also to fill of the HUD. The word 'limit' is such a negative word and there are tons of limits in Motorstorm. The one thing they don't limit - path choices - is annoying because it doesn't seem fair and it isn't obvious which route is best, even trialling can never really tell you so you probably have to ask the experts that win all the online races what the best race line is for each and every vehicle and each and every track. Ice and fire affecting boost is just a gimmick disguised as something more - like a tactical choice, when really if you need to cool the engine - which is always - you choose the best route and then dip your wheels in like everybody else.

I personally found it boring, too simple and just generally what I don't want from a game. The main feature of the game being that you control your minions to destroy stuff but it got repetitive just from the demo so god forbid me if the full game half-decent. Many demos aren't good but the gameplay for Overlord is just inexcusable.

Overlord is shite on PS3/360 so I doubt it's any good o Wii. The creator must've been on crack when he made it.

See I think we are great examples of people having similar yet vastly different tastes. I'm pro-refining and you're pro-defining in terms of games. I think what I like most about the games I play is that they provide me with great challenges, something that Wii didn't do. It can be fun but not as rewarding as completing difficult levels etc in HD. Shit not another 'console war'.

I thought someone would pick up on that and yeah you are kind of right, but it's not Nintendo is it? It feels like in order to satisfy the hardcore they feel that Mario saves them, so they are making another one because they know it sells and they know that it'll hush big game sites in questioning their direction. Reading back through that it does smell a bit like bullshit because I doubt the companyreally cares about the big game sites but you know, it just seems a bit desperate. Long term development is what makes new 3D mario games special, and even if I wasn't the greatest fan of galaxy it was definetly special, with this it just seems the same again, same environment feel too, with small planets etc.

And nobody laughed... Not really I did. It's probably just a 'threat' or Activision putting pressure on Sony to lower console prices. I don't think they ever would but why not hint it? Although this is probably a bit more than a hint.

Well no great engine but it really only looks like an expansion, they should always make the mario games a vastly different experience. The drill item isn't that, neither is anything from the trailer. Yeah the engine is great but they should use it for the next idea they bring along: Mario 64 (first 3D game) - Mario Sunshine (FLUDD & ruined paradise) - Mario Galaxy (space & planets) then it just looks like an add-on with a few gimmicks. Obviously Galaxy got a huge reception in reviews but Mario games shouldn't just be quick remakes. Do a virtual reality thing or something with it/warping environments.

They'd have to get a new car leaderboard though. Plus I think the lack of adverts is a good thing because otherwise it gets spoiled slightly. I like knowing that they are doing the classic 'race' episode though. They are always great.

There isn't really much to dislike about it as far as the shooting and handling is concerned, it's just the fact that other than controls it doesn't stand out. I still need to rebuy a Wii though so I can get this and Trilogy (investment for future as well if Other M turns out well) I don't think I would buy Galaxy, partly because I didn't take to the first, but also because I think it shows a breakdown in Nintendo's legacy, I think it's hypocritical of them to release another one when they say they are always innovating. Galaxy hasn't even been out long.

Fifth Gear wants to be Top Gear but fails because the presenters are boring and it isn't hosted on a good channel. Plus they burned the Top Gear studio! But seriously, I don't know what there isn't to like about Top Gear if you have a taste for cynicsm. Watched the episode where they try and find the best driving road with 3 sports cars where James brings along the Aston racing car without air conditioning - the episode is just hilarious the whole way through with many rofl moments. Off the top of my head there's a bit when they are arguing where to go next and James had mentioned Austria, Clarkson just says 'You go off to Austria, we can't smell your pits from there'. Ok the majority of it is staged but they recognise that, but you should just take it as a film or other fiction because they make a great show. There's just so much great content and universally loved for a reason.

I don't know why I doubt that but it just seems a bit hinky. I don't think they will have all PSP games on there at launch anyway.
