Had this discussion before. Simply put GTA IV, before you add mods, out of the box/straight from steam, looks and runs like ass on the PC compared to the ps3/xbox. Rockstar made a poor attempt at it's conversion. The modding community 'fixed' it. Sorry to be offtopic but really that's all I have to say.

I love the way you have to keep making these split-second choices that may not change much, but sometimes give you the feeling that the events that play out are a repercussion of the choice you just made. Really love this game just as much as the first already.

Yeah I got that code but am still not sure what was unlocked. The one for greenmangaming uses Steam so you can pre-load it when the code is sent, which doesn't matter much now seeing as the game has been unlocked and codes sent out hours ago. EDIT: Ok looks like you get some cash, lockpicks and some stat altering equipment as well as some media profiles for completing the Industrial Revolution puzzles.

Did anyone try the Industrial Revolution Puzzle game that you get with pre-ordering the game? Seems to effect the story and give you unlockables for the game. After many hours, I finally completed all 59 puzzles. It seems what you unlock for doing the whole lot is just a bit of lore so I am not too impressed really but whatever, it was fun and indeed did last me till the game unlocks on steam in another 8 hours or so. Oh, you also get some facebook and twitter cover photos.

Think ill wait till early april and see if my cash situation improves. Heartbreaking not being able to play this with you guys.

Unless the previous play was on pc, I don't really understand how it could go backwards in the graphics department, considering we got to see actual gameplay.

Is it me or do some of the graphics look worse than when the first trailers of this game came out like a certain other game...

A bit offtopic but does anyone remember fighting the biggest version of deviljho? He was terrifying!

One of the MANY things that is awesome in monster hunter is that no weapon makes you really 'sacrifice' anything as they all have various strengths and really are perfectly balanced. For example, sword and shield -sns- may not let you hit as hard, but you have increased mobility, attack speed, defensive abilities, and when you add the status ailments that they often come with, they can be a crucial factor for some parties. Hammers are slow, dont allow for blocking, only dodging, but they are one of the best weapons in the game as they can knock monsters out very easily due to their design, and if the player is skilled enough to land repeated blows on the monsters head. This allows parties members to target difficult to reach parts due to the creature usually constantly moving, or to more easily set up traps to lead on to extra time to attack the creature. They are also exceptional at breaking off particular parts of the monsters, that other piercing weapons struggle with due to its blunt attack nature. The list goes on but, it's really good to have a weapon of each type for every occasion. It's one of the things that drives you to go on to the next hunt each time, to get that last piece to finish that new weapon or armour.

Some moments, possibly. But either way, you are in for a good ride.

I know what you mean but im planning to try some stuff i never got round to trying, such as being a gunner, or making some armours i totally skipped, maybe using sword and shield more, and then there are the other types of weapons that are included in the game that, if you remember, totally change the way you tackle a creature. Think of it this way, you have already done the hard part which is getting the machine, so why not get the game and see how much more fun you can get out of the title.

LMFAO! Me and a group did the EXACT SAME THING! How could I forget?! Was funny until someone died EDIT: And I still remember the times when jho would have a chance of interrupting, and I would have to tell the unknowing teammates to run if they saw him. You can imagine what happens to the brave few who don't realised they are clearly outmatched at that point in their hunting careers... EDIT2: I pretty much went straight online. Almost everything can be obtained online (I really hope its everything now as that last boss in offline mode just takes too long to the point it gets boring...) but you miss out on so much content (and fun) if you stay in offline mode.

It's weird because I only got to play a demo of the ps2 version, and I was in love back then, but had no internet connection at that time

10 Hours?! You kidding me?! It was love at first sight (when I built my first switch axe and took in online really...). Anyways I think to really sell the online, we should list our fave online only moments: 1. Seeing I think it was @Hero\-of\-Time how to utterly destroy monsters. 5. Joining the hammer time club - learning how to use the hammer effectively is a really special moment. 6. That first time deviljho interrupts a fight. There are more, just my memory fails me currently. EDIT: Special mention goes to @Mokong X\-C wearing the Hellhunter jacket and blackpants like a boss (low defence - high offence) - and then carting (K-O'ed by our prey).
