I remember playing the GC version of this and RE1 and they were really, well boring! They put me to sleep. Once you have played RE3 or RE4, you really can't go back imo unless you didn't like the changes they put in those.

Probably because they have, for the most part. followed the same formula, barely evolving. People can't stand random battles anymore so that has been eventually cut from some franchises, like FF. They also have to change up the fighting mechanics, but for the most part, they often still remain turn based. And yeah, they really are samey. Once you have played one, you have played about ten other, just like it. That said, I love my JRPGS and have a small list that I need to complete or get like Odin's sphere *drools*

Smoking Aces Cool premise of a film but was expecting action comedy in the form of crank. Instead, what i got was a really serious thriller, with a smidgen of dark humour and action. Decent film, but not what I was in the mood for. 7/10

Yeah, I know, but I like the way my Mii looks. And really the height is a little above the middle but the weight is up there My progress. * or ** on retro cups on 150cc. Still got to do the 150cc wii cups but man i hate them tracks. Unlocked all the expert ghosts apart from rainbow road. Can't even finish the damn track without screwing up. Actually, cant make it past the first lap without making a mistake. Thinking I may need to use something other than the wii wheel but that would hurt as I would only be using it to do this last little thing. What do you get for unlocking all the ghosts anyways?

Sounds like a good idea for a competition! Yeah, today I think I am gonna force myself to learn how to drift using the traditional style.

Yeah I am waaaay to used to bikes now. Shame really. Also, there seem to be 2 different types of drifting. One, where the bikes REALLY lean into the corners and dont really skid round, and the other which is just like the karts (sideways). For the former, I think you can initiate the drift later, but because of this, it has crapped all over my timing of drifting the standard sideways method. (if that makes sense )

Tried that, and thanks to a friend of mine, failed at it. But just makes me so much more hyped for the anime though. Don't think I will be reading anymore of the manga though anytime soon.

My mii has access to the heavy vehicles, which I am just not used to using as they cannot turn corners sharp enough. WAAAAAY too used to using the light characters but tis such a shame as i get bumped around the course as if I was a tiny insect. And then the poor top speed can hurt time trials but I find the high acceleration highly useful for grand prix and online play as you get bombarded with so many weapons that you start and stop alot and so hitting top speed becomes less important than just making sure that you are dead still for so long that the opposition catches up.

Soul eater manga is EPIC! Can't wait for the anime to catch up to what I just read! Well up there with bleach, naruto and claymore. Battle angel alita has gone slightly off the boil for me but hopefully it will start making sense again. *just got up to date on a bunch of manga*

FMA movie finishes the anime story. Manga story is on a different arc and still on going, though it feels as if it is coming to a close.

From what I have gathered, 'nakama' is like best/close friends. But rather than translate it, just try to get a good understanding of whaqt it conveys imo as it seems to cover both plural and singular use.

Seeing as I didn't own a cube, I would have to say the wii. Backwards compatibility to enjoy anything i missed, virtual console, Mario Kart Wii (owns the hated [imo] Mario Kart Double Dash) massive new Zelda, a resi 4 that I completed on the PS2, traded in a short while ago, but has me wanting to buy it again, an amazing new pro evo that i have barely had time to play and has restored my faith in the franchise, and a ton more games that i have not had the money or time to buy and play yet. I only wanted a cube for smash bros anyways, the other titles on the cube seemed cool, but not enough to make me want the console like that game. To me, the wii has so many killer apps, and because of its new direction, it makes me feel like I am buying into something more than just another console. Heck, it has my mum slightly interested in playing a game, and she was barely above thinking games were inspired by the devil -
Looks like i forgot to post in here when i saw the trailer some time ago. Love insomniac as their R & C games are class (still need to completed numero dos so I can move onto the third one >.<) and the trailer looked cool tool. I am realising that I am easily impressed when it comes to graphics, as long as they have a nice consistent style (too much brown or horrible interfaces ruin my enjoyment sometimes). Wasn't what I was expecting (but then I can't even remember what I was expecting) but am waiting for this one with a positive perspective. Although there are loads of titles on the wii I havent got yet like Mario Galaxy!

Yeah uni kinda spoiled all that but now that its over, im hoping to pick some new fighters and get my mates to offer me a constant source of challenge again. It was the constant struggle to be the best out of us lot that made us improve and i miss that EDIT: and omg the burn i would get after playing SF3 on the dreamcast for too long. Damn, I wasn't even all that! Got better at it when I got the arcade version for my pc! May, just may, get it for the xbox (old) but i need to find those ps2 pads to xbox converters.

Don't neede an arcade stick to be good at beat em ups. Just need thumbs with caluses at the ready from overuse of the d-pad on your preferred controller. Anyways, I love beat-em-ups but I never have the perseverance to take it to what is required to be tournament worthy (well the 2d ones, 3d ones seem to me to be easier to master, although i must admit, it was getting to the point with virtua fighter 4 where i was told i would need a stick to be truly great ). And even though I play shooters on my PC, I still use my ps2 pad on my PC via a handy converter.
