  1. I know I'm months late to the party but the first arc of Uncanny X-Force was the most stunning thing. STUNNING artwork, well-written (felt like it managed to avoid shite without trying to be 'something else', or 'cool' i.e Bendis or whoever) and just a striking story. I loved Apocalypse's Horsemen. Come the FRAK on! I loved the conclusion. Like...we have to just deal. Left me so "..." (not in a bad way) but also "...I understand." I loved how they all understood and didn't react to what happened, since like...there's no point when the deed is done. Yes. It managed to suprise me several times, something that is hard to achieve with a hardened comic reader.
  2. Yeah, comics are incredibly expensive for the time spent actually reading them/what you get. Graphic novels (trade paperbacks collecting the individual issues together) are much more satisfying, and though usually overpriced-feeling too (in highstreet shops anyway), at least it feels like a "thing"/experience to take in. Cinema prices are expensive in the big ones, but then it's such a thing to do. I'm over £7.something for a good cinema experience. Just don't go watch obviously bad films and it's money well-spent.
  3. Ugh, watching films online... Do you want the film industry to die? [i know your lone choice to not pay to see it won't affect anything on it's own, but it's the principle. Not to mention a SHITTY viewing experience. And just a bit of an insult to all the years/months of hard work by hundreds of individuals put into films.] [i also know people can throw 'downloading comics' in my face, but I barely do that and I buy graphic novels so deal. And obviously filmmaking is closer to home.]
  4. I'm-a start trying to get back on track comics-wise today. Starting with Uncanny X-Force, and then the other X-titles I've missed out on in the last 6 months or so.
  5. And he has already shown he's good in A Single Man. I wasn't particularly impressed with him in this film tbh. No better or worse than any of the other kids. ---
  6. I feel wretched.
  7. Both of those look like fails. Is that Poison Ivy in the BoP? Or Thorn? (or someone else?) Less fun if it is Ivy, her green skin is everything.
  8. I never will.

  9. I mean they'll never look completely 'right' compared to the official ones cause the design style is different, but the middle water bird looks pretty like the original style!
  10. Well, it was narrated and produced by
  11. Oracle's no longer crippled? I have mixed feelings. Specially since the current Batgirl is so stun.
  12. Watched the majority of Let Me In (interuppted so couldn't finish). Eh. What I expected really, just far less nicely done than the original, more 'obviousness' tossed in, bit more action. Not a horrible remake, just needless and as I expected, worse.
  13. Someone has to die in order that the rest of us should value life more. It's contrast. Did it matter, then, she asked herself, walking toward Bond Street. Did it matter that she must inevitably cease, completely. All this must go on without her. Did she resent it? Or did it not become consoling to believe that death ended absolutely? It is possible to die. It is possible to die. *lies on floor*
  14. CLICK HERE TO WATCH A stunning thing. 13 minutes but really interesting and goes quickly.
  15. I can't be bothered. It's so time-consuming/annoying making all the images for so little excitement. --- My vote is for Lady GaGa. I was indifferent when the song came out, but now like it a lot, and today I heard it on a pair of Beats by Dr.Dre and died in the shop.
  16. I won't go into my own thoughts Re: death - I'm sure many people here remember them in any case. I had terrible trouble dealing with the fragility of my own existence. Though that has obviously lessened as I leave teenager-hood. I want a FUCKING huge funeral with hundreds of people all weeping over my passing/ celebrating my life...I want a statue of something brilliant instead of a headstone, I want music...STFU anyone who tries to plan a normal/standard funeral for me. Let me BELIEVE I'll go out with a bang.
  17. They're about as culturally relevant as N-Gage right now.
  18. This is my new venture/ I did it on another forum years ago. Music Warz is dead, sorry. Tori Amos won the first one and that's a marvellous thing in itself. I feel the second one would only disappoint. JUDAS by Lady Gaga by Cage The Elephant Youtube by Kelly Clarkson Which is your favourite, or best, or which is the lesser of three evils, or which changed your life, or which was awful, or which. Etseterah. VOTE/tell me why. PLZ listen to them all though. disclaimer - inevitably I'll miss out songs with the same name, and this will usually be on purpose - I only want like 3 or less songs to compete, otherwise it's too annoying and people won't do it. Maybe won't take part even now. So don't cry if your favourite bands song is missed out.
  19. He sounds like every pub singer across the UK ever. Why is this deserving of praise above like...anyone else who's ever been able to earnestly mumble through a song? Not to mention he loses it by the chorus.
  20. I forgot they existed. They're done.
  21. Collings sang Fast Car right? That was fucking atrocious. How did he get past the first round? Does he have a sob story?
  22. The American winner was stunning since she had a fairly unique talent (for her age). WTF were these finalists? It makes me a little bit sick/reminds me I'm watching a freakshow when people like that deluded old man did his 'dance'. Ugh. Have some dignity.
  23. Forced to watch this at dinner. Jesus Christ. What a horrific display.
