Cole has been average for over a year now. It's not even a loss of form, he's just got worse. Enrique has his worst two games for us against Man Utd & City, but he's shown how brilliant he is in every other game. I can't decide if him or Bellamy is the signing of the season. Due to Enrique offering more long term, it has to be him.

Well he raped Skrtel at right back last game, but that was Skrtel at right back. Skrtel has been boss this season, at centre back, obvs. Playing against Johnson is different to playing against Stam and Wigan. :p Oh, and Suárez is back! He's going to tear you a new one. It's obvious.

Yes, that's a fact, i accept, obviously. :p Yesterday Scholes bossed midfield, but he didn't score or get an assist, yet Park did. Does that mean Park had a better game? No, he didn't. You can score 30 goals a season from CM, yet a CM who scores 5 a season could be miles better. That's my point. Modric is another example. He's got 2 goals and 3 assists in 20 games this season. Spurs fans will tell you he's alot more important to them than what those numbers say.

And what? If i didn't know who Downing was, what would this tell me? He's a winger, he crosses the ball. He isn't a goalscorer, so you bringing up goals scored is the most pointless thing ever. Steven Gerrard has a worse goal/games ratio than Lampard, yet i bet 99% of sane people in this world would say Gerrard is better. Using your method, Yakubu is better than Dzeko, Adebayor and Suárez. And Ba is better than Aguero and Rooney.

You guys know that stats aren't the only way to judge a player. Iniesta has got 0 goals and 4 assists this season, yet he's the best player on the planet bar Messi imo. Downing is a good player who has proven that over many seasons in England. I'm just defending our player who is getting slated the day after he puts in a great performance against the champions.

How is he contributing more? Supporters were disgusted at a 17-year-old coming off for him. They even boo'ed the decision. I don't know if you watched the game yesterday, but he had a good game. He's had a few good games, and a few bad ones. Another thing is Arshavin has been at Arsenal for how long? He is settled and knows everything he needs to about his teammates. Downing has been here a few months, he's still learning and adapted to living in a new part of the country. Some players can adapt to new systems really quickly (Suárez, Enrique), while others can take longer (Carroll, Downing). The important thing for Liverpool supporters is that all our signings have come in and been great, or are showing clear signs of improving, which is exactly what i wanted to see. Aslong as we keep progressing, i'm happy. We're rebuilding, and i'm trying to be as patient as possible with all our players.

He's out of form and seems low on confidence. The last two games though, he looks much improved. He seems to have grown in confidence and is being much more aggressive and taking players on, which he hasn't done much earlier in the season. You could compare him to Arshavin. But Downing hasn't been that horrible. :p It's important to remember that our squad is so different to last season, the whole squad should be given time to settle.

Who do you support? I can't remember. Only morons look at stats alone. He's put in plenty of good crosses and created chances this season, but we have struggled to finish this season (as our goal tally shows). With better finishing, he would of scored a few at least, and would of had 5+ assists easy.

What's with the Downing hate? He's been much better in the past couple of games. He had a good game yesterday. His delivery is great, he's proved he is one of the best crossers in the league over the time he has been in this league. To say after a tough start to his Liverpool career that he's poor and a waste is silly. Have patience man. Rome wasn't built etc.

I hope you're talking about Mrs Suárez and not his daughter. They're talking shit. MotM Poll Check who's winning that. Carroll hasn't been performing brilliantly lately, so i'm sure he would only get votes when he's really deserving. He didn't win every header, but he won his fair share. It was his hold up play on the ground that was most impressive. People assume he can't play football on the floor, but he really can.

Carroll was isolated for alot of the game and put in a MotM performance. Welbeck is a good player, but he was rubbish today. I mentioned Rooney because you lacked a Rooney-type player. I was just stating that both team clearly weren't at full strength, and if both had of been, it would of been a different game.

Hmm, i'd say it was a game of two halves. First half United were dominant, second half we were the better team. United just really lacked a goal threat. Welbeck was garbage, and offered absolutely nothing. Valencia was awesome and caused problems in the first half, went abit off second. If Rooney was fit and played, it would of been a different scoreline, i'm sure off that. Then again, if Lucas and Suárez were playing, i think we would of won the game easily. :p

Alan Smith on Sky is probably the worse. His voice is so unbelievable dreary and he talks complete shite. He points out what is happening, which we all can see, and offers nothing in terms of tactical analysis and doesn't bring up any interesting points ever. Ray Wilkins is nearly as bad. Lee Dixon is one of the better ones definitely. BBC and Sky are the best by far.
