In all seriousness I thought we’d get better online, dedicated servers for big games like Splatoon, but nope. Roms and complicated voice chat.
I don’t mind paying because I actually see some value in the NES and (hopefully) SNES games. And I like playing online. But if this is really anything other than a cash-grab, simply because they can, then my uncle works at Nintendo.

A $200 portable only Switch makes so much sense for this year with AC and Pokemon slated for release that Nintendo would be crazy not to be doing it (they probably won't).
Stuff I'm reading on ResetEra makes sense though, mini this year, pro next year to tie in with a major powerhouse release. What is it, 24 million 3DSs sold in Japan? It's time to capture that market. I'd really love them to take a mobile phone style approach and release a more powerful Switch every 2-3 years.
I was also skeptical about the hybrid, but it was definitely the right choice. If they can get NSO subscriptions, mobile gaming and their other ventures like films and theme parks to replace the console / handheld model of earnings, I think they'll be just fine.

How much did you pay for it? I haven’t bought it yet and now I kind of regret not jumping in last week. The problem here was that prices were generally in line with Europe, maybe a little cheaper. I guess Nintendo had too many people taking advantage of it and put a stop to it, which is a shame as there are better ways to tackle that than wholesale increasing the prices.

Same thing happened on the Russian e-shop. It's funny, they sent an email round saying it was due to the increase in VAT (from 18 to 20%), but after going on the shop this morning it is only the Nintendo published titles that have increased in price, and in no way close to 2%.
Pricing is now significantly more expensive than in Europe and the UK. Good job I'm physical only for retail releases.

I don't know what we will get, but I'd love to see Xeno X, Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Mario 3D World released. Starfox Zero would also be welcome. Nintendo Land too, but I guess It'd be impossible. Skyward Sword HD while we're at it please.

Why are United even thinking about Southgate? Laughable.
Thoroughly enjoyed that game as a neutral. As much as it pains me to say it, I'm kind of glad United seem to be back now. It was just depressing watching them play so badly for so long.

One of the best things about not living in the UK is not hearing about Brexit at all.
I was on the fence and didn't vote. Both campaigns were disgusting and neither was based on fact, though I could see advantages for remaining and leaving.
The whole thing is a complete joke and the UK is a laughing stock around the world. I was back home last year for a couple of weeks and the atmosphere in the country has completely changed. If my family didn't live there I would quite happily never go back.

I've been addicted to the adventure mode. Almost done now though. Got to the stage that almost every battle is easy because my spirits are levelled up, but have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also, this game has made me try the Nintendo Switch Online service for the first time with the free trial. Pretty naff, isn't it? Unsure whether I'll sign up afterwards or not, I don't really use it enough to justify. If I could just look on my friend list and invite someone to a game, there would be a higher chance, but nope.
Awesome! My control stick fell victim to the dog when I left it on the floor a few years ago, so I need to do the same. How simple was it on a scale of Walking Simulator to Dark Souls and does it require a special screwdriver head?

It's probably the best of the "New" series, but I have absolutely no desire to buy it again. I finished it on the Wii U (but without finding all the secret exists) so unless it goes cheap, it's a hard pass from me. More interested in the kind of sales numbers it does though, whether it can push a few more console sales towards that golden 20 million.

I had already resigned myself to the fact that the online would be poor for me. Living in Russia and sharing my connection with 4 other people I thought I’d have no chance, but playing online has been so smooth, I’m really surprised. Hats off to Nintendo for FINALLY implementing good online in Smash. I was playing with 2 guys in Japan and one in Ireland the other day and there was only onc small hiccup when my internet crapped out.
We should probably get on the voice chat app next time, looks like they’re focusing on that rather than text chat.

I've had a rant about this in another place and these "insiders" really piss me off. They get lucky a couple of times and then act all high and mighty about how much they know. What does 70% sure even mean anyway? You either know, or you don't. Just an excuse for them to fall back on. 4 'unannounced' games coming in 2019? Ok mate.
What bugs me the most is how much discussion comes out of it, and then, inevitably the people who are wrong make their excuses and the backlash is directed at Nintendo for not giving the people what they want. So many people were "hearing rumblings" or had "close, reliable sources" tell them about Prime 4 at the Game Awards. Bullshit. StarFox GP. Bullshit. Pokemon Stars. Bullshit. Animal Crossing coming in April? Absolutely bullshit. Not a chance in hell.
It's all a big scam for attention, clicks and money via their Patreons or YouTube channels. A glorified dick-swinging contest.
I love predicting what's coming, but completely ignore these clowns who claim they know something. Plenty of good stuff to play on Switch now, plenty of confirmed stuff to look forward to and chat about if you want. Why should anyone waste their time on baseless speculation, I really don't get it?
