I think I'm either 5'10" or 5'11", some people think I'm bigger than I am though and I don't know why. My friends just sometimes have sudden realisations that I'm not as tall as they thought/taller than someone they thought I was, and then I begin to question myself, my life, and mainly my height.

I knew there was something about the rapid speech style that I couldn't quite place, now I realise it was like the doctor! I'm not much a fan of the doctor who-ing, but I did quite like this, and I'm interested to see where it goes. Quite liking Martin Freeman as well! The villainous plot twist was a bit obvious as to who would be the culprit to me, though I didn't expect the character to be as they had made him, but it did irk me somewhat how apparently everyone else was so totally naiive to the obvious possibility of the perpetrator. Otherwise though, quite impressive. I'll probably try and catch next week's, although I think it's going to be one of those things I like, but don't go massively out of my way to see.

So, on BBC1 right now, I caught it by chance but I like what I see, and I'm not Sherlock Holmes fan at all really, though I guess I've never really bothered enough to be a fan. Martin Freeman as Watson and Some Dude I Don't Know as Sherlock. Can't tell you much else. Discuss it!

It's simply a case of balance, really. Having a brand new thread for every little bit of current news is quite silly, cos there's far too much news out there, and really is that the sort of stuff which our forumbase is generally interested in? I think the news thread when it happened was a general reaction to the numerous random news stories being posted up by certain people, and then those themselves would end up way off topic. That's an issue, things ending up off topic. Why? Well, again it's because it's not what people have gone into the thread for. Coming back to my previous point of entering/avoiding threads at one's preference having seen the title.

Relax them? Relax them how? There were few threads getting made because there were such large threads to take up the discussion. If you go away from the forums for a few days, trawling through 6 pages of a big thread to find posts relevant to your interests can be a pain, scrolling down summary titles over 2/3 pages is far easier to find topics you want to talk in/about, and importantly yet easily overlooked, avoid ones you don't.

It's not to everyone's tastes, and if you truly feel like that then that's up to you. I have now fairly confidently determined that the forums DID used to be like this, that they worked fine, and that they will continue to do so. Plus, this place a shitton more active now. I STILL don't see what's so hard clicking through to page 2, or even page 3.

Ahh, totally understand your reasoning, wondered if it would eventually happen sometime too. I just want to say, that this was such an awesome day. For once I managed to make it relatively early, and we managed to last til relatively late! I'm totally and absolutely shattered from it for some reason, but I think that's because it was all just too amazing to handle. Everyone was very cool, and for some reason I think I feel an agreement with ReZ in saying that this was one of the best meets I've been to! That's also despite that fucking helicopter, and the fact some gay cycle race was going on in the park too. I'll put up pictures(lots and lots of Molly, to her delight) etc later on, probably via the bookface. Will take pictures of the Paper Telephone games too and post them here(and also in the playground thread, which everyone is encouraged to join!). Highlights of the day; -Ginger Kid getting smacked in the face by ball whilst playing football -Paper Telephone -Touching Flink -Jenga -Definitely NOT the helicopter. Though ReZ's helicopter rage was a little amusing.

I might be like another 30 minutes later than I intended actually, there's a Spoons next to Marble Arch tube station, and I'm rather tempted to be stopping there for a beer and a burger as breakfast/lunch before I head over to the park to meet you guys.

I was awake at half 6! I couldn't sleep for a bit, then I did, now I'm awake again but really tired. Damn you sleep cycles! Anyhow, I shall be awaiting Marcamillian's arrival in roughly an hour and a half, and then we should mosy shortly afterwards, I predict an 11am arrival. If anybody should wish to contact me/need my number, get it off jay or ReZ or someone who's number you have, I just don't wanna put it up on tinternets publicly.

Just got in from work and spoken to Marcamillian, we're aiming to hit the park up in the same spot as last year at around 10-11am, we'll be with beer and drinking from maybe quite soon after we arrive, but we're well good at drinking these days so don't worry about us being tits if drinking ain't your thing/you only ever encounter drunken tits. Hmm, I don't want to post my number publicly, but I do want to give it to anyone who might need it. The problem is however, I'm not really on tinternets til tomorrow after this. A good point, but I think the difference between this and google is that there's more interest. You look at the first page, and there's a topic or two you posted in yesterday not on it, so you click to page 2 to see if anyone's posted in it or something. You also then get presented with a whole new page of topics, one which might catch your eye and you post in etc
