Usually spidery-related shit. Also, sleep paralysis/false awakenings in the moment, but awesome lolz after. I never find awesome lolz to follow anything spider related. You know what's definitely not cool? When you're having crazy dreams about spiders and then find yourself in a sp/false awakening situation, which I fucking just had to have about 2 weeks ago. I will drink at any time of the day, and yes on occasions even in the morning when I wake up, though that tends to be a night after I'm drinking(im a hair of the dog man) and also in such a circumstance when I wake up with a half can of drink I might drink it. I realise I'm probably a massive tramp.

Yeah, I just wanted to say, even though I have absolutely no idea of what's really going on or who's who in the Colour mafia, I think it's fucking amazing. That is exactly the kind of chaos and formula breaking that I was hoping for right at the beginning of this thread. Chaos, pandemonium! Mafia's will stale out for me due to a lack of variation, but the Colours is fast paced and frankly, just a bit ridiculous! Hats off to you Danny.

Calling someone as mafia to lend to credibility in this game seems to be rather moot, does it not? (on that note, i so totally love this game)

What I've been thinking is that it is the doing of Black and White that changes the colours up or down, and now that we've lost Diageo there may well be no more darkening of colours. However, there can still be lightening, as White is still out there. However, it's just a theory, and only white can confirm. I'm also not going to assume they're on the same sides, not yet, anyway. Of course, if White is then he'll come forward, as Diageo was town. If he doesn't, I think maybe he might be mafia or neutral.

I'll be honest, the abstract nature of colours makes it hard for me to really follow anything in this game, plus the fast paced nature of it makes it really quite different to any of the others, yet I'm kind of really enjoying it.

Ok, that's a fair claim, I was curious if you would say that you were in fact, the real Cyan. Which I know you're not, for *I* am the real Cyan, and this means you ARE the protecting Cyan of the earlier writeup. Would you be so kind as to protect your Cyanese bretherin, tonight? Ok, I totally skimmed that writeup, scrap my mafia working together theory. That's 4 bullets for 4 killers into Dyson's grey matter. I need to think, be back in a bit. Currently, I'm thinking there is at least one vigilante killer, also two mafias. Dyson was previously outed as being mafia, and the other mafia are trying to first take out mafia before the town, as of course that reduces their chances of being killed because the mafia have killing powers. Now, I have a double vote, and in this rather tumultuous environment, with such fast killings, that's going to be quite handy and advantageous to us soon, as we'll so much faster approach smaller majoritys, where the double vote will come in handy soon. Thus, I request that any of our town protectors do me a favour and protect me tonight, because I don't foresee lasting too long with this.

I am so confused. 4 people to kill Dyson?! Or does it mean he was targetted by 4 people, one of whom was the killer and the others were powers? Even so, the fact we've had two mafia die, I'm pretty sure there's at least 2 mafias, if not possibly even 3. I was thinking that for that killing, it was the entire mafia working together to target one man. Also, I want to hear from Jonnas what colour he is. Also, just because I haven't got much ability to do anything else and I'm scared this'll all end quite quickly; Vote:Mundi I'm thinking it might be an identifying power. Someone targets someone and they are underlined in the writeup, so they then know who they are. An interesting one, if that is the case.

I don't think it's that bad tbh, as a one use role. It's just being slightly more verified than a good investigator, who once well verified(i know that mite not always be the case) is pretty powerful anyway. Do we have confirmation this won't start until tomorrow btw?

Fucking tell me about it, I saw the day end and go into night phase, and took the oppurtunity of my free time to browse the forums(tech and wii, as it happens) then didn't come back until far too late to see that it had all changed around, because I assumed y'kno, night phase was night phase, a solid rule and a solid thing. The fact I get a PM for an update/role correction/because an inactive player was replaced, and NOT for a MASSIVE issue in gameplay mechainc, kinda pissed me off, because if I had a PM when it happened, I'd have seen it and known whilst I was still on.

I've read this properly now, and I've got to say, those roles were actually pretty damn frickin amazing! However, I agree with what's been said about the town basically being far too powerful. The writeups were too detailed and gave them power, and the mafia stood little chance off of this. Yet having said this, we were rather really very nearly close to closing this deal with some awesomeness, however, this was fucked by my biggest gripe of the game; The reversal of a solidly stated day/night phase. Don't set limits unless they're to be stuck too, forum issues or not(which from what i gather werent that major in this case), AND if that issue does come up, put it up for discussion in the thread somehow. Having said this and judging the imbalances, I think the mafia did a proper well fine job to get where did, but basically after that night reversal, we were forever buggered. I'd be very interested in another style mafia, as long as the rules/phases are set out straight.

Well, it's mainly a big deal for those that survive a significant amount, if I died at least 3-4+ days(irl days) before a next mafia starts, then I feel that may well be enough respite, but iono. Now very interested in Bare Bones and MArvel mafia.

Not related to any discussion at hand, but when this thread started, I posted saying I'd post general mafia impressions later on and such. So here, later on with some mafias under le belt, here I am. During my original post I think I was in my first forum mafia. Total all completed mafias now, I've been in...1 live mafia, 4 forum mafias? Not 4 whole ones though really(IRC/Live Mafia, Pokemafia, Pokemafia, Brawl Mafia and DIY mafia), as one(DIY) was a takeover from inactivity. I was town in the live mafia, and town in my first pokemafia, mafia in my second pokemafia, mafia in Brawl and town in the DIY, so I feel really I've had a fairly even experience. Here are my impressions; I had the same role in the brawl(mafia) and the DIY(town), which I think was good and worked. I've heard people call roles as side specific, I don't think those were. I had a double vote(passive) in both the LifeLight(town) and a double vote(active) as well as a sort of reflective/triggered(I'd say passive, but ReZ TOTALLY FORGOT TO IMPLEMENT IT) in the DeathVoid(mafia) mafias. Passive powers, especially the double vote, was a bit suck. It's a bit like, I want to do stuff or something, but I can't. I was motivated to do stuff more for the outcome of what will appear in the writeups, which a lot of people have stated are much more detailed on here, and take away a lot of what they've experienced from other mafias, I have no frame of reference though. I guess essentially that does mean that they give everyone an investigative role though, assuming of course they don't have some sucky passive power :p Having said that, in both the Brawl(mafia) and the DIY(town) I was a roleblocker, which I think worked nicely both ways as I pointed out earlier. I guess I think however, I was hoping for a bit more variation. Also being mafia two games in a row was a bit cack, given my previous posts about not being quite as motivated, though for some reason I felt a bit more so in the second, until the whole day reversal thing(which I highly disagreed with). Also agree with Dyson for some time between mafias, and totally looking forward to a the live mafia! What exactly do you mean by Bare Bones, Dyson?

Ok it's night, and I'm not posting anything game related. Just basically posting to say that I'm working tomorrow afternoon then going out after, planning to head across town for most of saturday, and having an early start on being out on sunday with a fairly high possibility of being out in the evening as well. I will do my best to get on at least once every 12-24 hours, but don't hold it against me if I don't. Also, how long are the night phases, the days seem to have a fairly solid limit?

I hate doing the arguing of bringing in old mafias, but in two I've had a dobule vote, and the only time when it was mafia was when I had a choice(and would make it obvious if I used it). Danny also had a double vote in one case, and he too turned out innocent. So by that, it's far less mafia related, and I believe you were in all of those games, and so I wondered if you're trying to plant a small seed of suspicion on me early on. There's really nothing to point to double votes as suspicious or not, imo. Mine isn't, for the record. See above point that you've seen double vote powers before, also.
