Loving it even more with every play. Love how some games really do turn in the last minute. Also find it so satisfying when I see an Inkling setting off a Ink Strike and are open for a free splattering. Really like the Seeker too. Seeing someone coming towards you and you just set it off towards them.

Anything over than Nintendo main characters are rare at the moment. Mario, Peach, Pikachu and Peach are the most common, so I'd say if you do want it, grab it now.

Just completed the single player mode:

I think it would have benefited if it were 200cc mode to add more speed and the chance of falling off more. As it was, it was OK, but you really did need a good start and get a gap between you and someone to not then get knocked around. I lost too many places at the end of the races through someone slipstreaming me. I guess my Mii just needed to put on some more pounds.

I'm loving the single player game in this. I've just beat the 4th boss and am heading to the next area. Whilst the levels are short they are fun to play. I really do hope we get more levels or a fleshed out single player game. Still loving online too, been in some matches that have really swung in the last minute or so. It really isn't over until that counter hits 0.

Exactly. This is usually what I do, I hang back, painting all the areas around our base and surrounding area. Those little blank spaces all add up.

OK, a few highlights from Thursday night.

Really loving this game now. Got used to the controls and am splatting my fair share of people. How do you all play at the start of a game of Turf Wars? Are you one that rushes forward or hold back and cover the ground? I tend to be a cautious stealthy player. I'll stay back, cover the ground and keep popping in and out of squid form to try fpr surprise attacks.

Time for another collection. Opened Smash set Boxed ones still to be opened (plus other Nintendo and figures Squid and Inklings awaiting freedom

Crazy. Brilliant. Group 2 I stole quite a few places throughout the GPs. Captures of the best will follow.

A few decent Turf Wars with @Dcubed and @RedShell a while ago. I think I got my best Splat on RedShell. Threw a splat bomb whilst hiding around the corner and got him.

Getting into the single player part of the game, I actually quite like it. I hope they add more to it with DLC at a later point because it could really be something of a puzzle/shooter type game. Got myself to level four playing turf wars too, I feel I'm going to be a lucky player at it. Most games I ended up getting splatted many times. One game, I think I got about 4 splats. But that was it. It's still going to be fun to play.

Just got my email too. Though the date said arrival on or before June 1st. Still expect them on Friday though.

Mines shipped too. Probably be here Thursday.

My Spatoon amiibo pack has been dispatched from Nintendo store. Just waiting foe the Smash amiibo to be dispatched.

Definitely not good. Though I hear the versions that are out are quite buggy. A work colleague has the X-Box version as says that the controls are terrible when using a controller and that the framerate takes a huge hit on a few courses when there are a number of vehicles on track. He mention the Monaco circuit in particular. i really do want to see this on the Wii U, it's just what the console needs in a true racer. Moving to to the next home console is silly as there will no doubt be a second iteration of the game by then.

My thoughts exactly. Had a good little run wit the sniper just now. Found a nice bit of high ground and pulled off some good snipes, but then I was hunted down. I really think this could be an entertaining game once all the extra modes are added. Glad I'm picking is up.

Same here. Such a missed opportunity Nintendo. There are a bunch of us here trying to play and you won't let us play with friends.....yet.

Played one game too now can't find anyone. Was fun though. Need time to get used to the controls though.
