  1. Bought a USA one from eBay for around £200.00. Bargain. Works perfectly fine and been playing loads of Zelda and Wii Sports.
  2. You get things like a golden golf putter (I think I've got one) for getting pro on Golf. Haven't noticed what I get for Pro on Tennis but I'm sure you get something in everyone.
  3. It all depends how you do it really. I feel the most controllable way of doing Golf is by doing proper golf swings or putts. As for the tennis the key to hitting it straight is all about the timing. If you're hitting it to far to the left you're swinging to early. Too far to the right and you're swinging too late. Of course this is for right handers doing a forehand. Left handers or backhands would be vice versa.
  4. I'm at abotu the same point flameboy. Haven't had time to really give it a hardcore session but figure I'll be doing that tonight. Water Temple next. But got some things to do first. Fishing!!!
  5. I've managed to get my Bowling, Tennis and almost there on Golf to Pro. What are the differences once you turn pro? I've noticed: - Jewel encrusted bowling ball. That's it! Does that pro status stay with your Mii so say someone on my address book list got my Mii on their Wii - could they perhaps face it as a pro in match?
  6. Thanks dude. That looks pretty nice. I may well look into getting that. One on eBay for £240.00 at the moment. There any others like that that are nice and discreet rather than a big DVD player like stack? Also - LCD Wallbrackets. How easy are they to put up? Is it a case of drilling into the wall and then putting in those plastic things to screw into or what?
  7. Hello. I wonder if anyone could help me. I already have a nice TV, DVD player, Wii, PC all hooked up in my room and am looking to put some surround sound in. Now, the problem I'm having is most/all surround sound systems I look at come with a DVD player which I do not want! I started looking around some more and found AV Receivers. Is this what I need? I'm assuming that I plug all my inputs into the AV Receiver then have an video cable leading out into my TV and an audio cable leading out into my surround speakers. Speaking of which... Where can I get the speakers from? Do I just look for seperate surround sound speakers and make sure they're not PC ones or do I have to buy a full surround sound system then flog the freebie DVD player? Thanks for your help.
  8. Figured it would be under settings. Just not in front of my Wii ATM.
  9. How do you adjust the volume? I was up at 1am last night playing Zelda and thought it was a bit loud when it did the classic Zelda 'discovered secret' sound.
  10. Ooo, Mii Mii!
  11. Woohoo! Received my Wii on Saturday and have been playing it all weekend. It's so good, Wii Sports is a very clever game, I was surprised how well some of the game mechanis worked. Zelda is just pure awesomeness and the controls just come so naturally that you don't want to be doing it any other way. Guys, it really was worth the wait and I'm sure you'll all agree with me come Friday.
  12. Nothing thread related but just noticed where you come from cube_game. I come from Abbots Langley, literally a 10 minute drive from you. Haha.
  13. Nothing yet. I ordered from eBay on Monday though. Hope I don't get conned. Haha.
  14. IGN gave Red Steel a 6.0. :\ I've heard from a few places now that it doesn't quite stand up to what it could have been. A bit disappointing really but I may well still pick this up after a while.
  15. I found websites now seem to be doing XP Home/XP Pro + Vista Upgrade Coupon as it is being released so soon. This will allow you to upgrade to the corresponding version of Windows Vista. http://www.genstar.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=4324 - XP Home http://www.genstar.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=4325 - XP Pro
  16. I was thinking there might be a calibration ie. point the Wiimote at the centre of the screen and press A and then it can tell from that where you're aiming no matter where the sensor bar is placed.
  17. I was going to create a new thread but I figured this was a more appropriate place for my question: The Sensor Bar - does it matter how far away from the television it is? Also, does it matter if the bar is not on the same level as where the Wiimote is. Ie. My television is placed up quite high in my garage (it's a pimped out garage not just tools and the like) and I would like to play sitting on one of the couches. Could I either lower the bar to be level with where the Wiimote will be or will it pick up the Wiimote even if it is up where the TV is?
  18. Well I'm only 20 so I was born when the NES was released (yet never got it) and have had: Amiga 500 Master System SNES Megadrive Saturn N64 Playstation Dreamcast Playstation 2 Gamecube And in handhelds I had all the Gameboys through to the SP and then I bought DS and then DS Lite. I don't think I'll ever stop gaming. It's what I was brought up on.
  19. Didn't this thread all originate from the FarCry screenies? Seriously I think it was blown way out of proportion. Looking at those ones there and just Zelda in general, you can clearly see it's way better graphics than the Gamecube. So it's obviously possible. It's just up to developers whether they want to go with the graphics or if they feel their game doesn't need graphics like that as some titles (eg. Wii Sports) don't need them at all.
  20. Not sure but if you stick it in the Wii it pops out 3 minutes later golden brown and slightly toasted.
  21. Yeah, I've been viewing these boards for a while and just thought I would get involved. I can't help but notice Dilli Gee's posts always slagging off anything to do with the Wii, yet I'm sure I read somewhere he's buying one. Why oh why would you want to buy something if you don't like it. Maybe that's because he knows deep down the Wii is going to be the best thing since sliced bread (exaggeration but you know what I mean) and he just can't accept it yet.
  22. In fact, I found this in the other RGB cable thread. Output: an AV Multi-output port for component, composite or S-video
  23. I think the best thing for people to do is just ignore Dilli Gee's posts and he may well go away.
  24. My bad. TBH, I can't imagine them not allowing it since the PS3 and X-Box 360 are both HD. They're not going to just leave it out altogether. Of course, I'm importing so that doesn't really make a difference to me on the PAL side of things.
  25. Or you could just read up on it and see that Nintendo is supporting 480p with progressive scan via component cable connections.
