  1. These reviews are all over the place, just like the ones for The Force Awakens (which, by the way, I LOVED). But the fact that it ranges from "meh" to "best movie of all time" at least says to me it's somewhere between 6 and 9 in a rating out of 10, which is pretty good. It has a lot to set up, so I wouldn't be surprised if it got bogged down in trying to set up the world. Looks at AoU. It happens. NOW BACK TO THE HYYYYYYYYPE.
  2. Hitting it this year? Not so likely in my opinion, like 30/35%. Next year? Probably much more probable, at least in my books. As for E3, I can see there being a Direct which reveals the controller a few weeks in advance to start the hype before console and game reveals at E3.
  3. I cannot wait for this film! The world-building will be what gets me going. The little nods and winks to future possible villains and heroes (such as the question mark in the trailer or Robin's costume hinting at a Red Hood storyline and the Death in the Family arc). Keeping an eye out for Metallo's creator, Emmett Vale, especially. We know we have Doomsday already, and with Zod already being incapacitated and used as something else in the movie we assume, I have to believe that Metallo is next in line to take on the Man of Steel. Perhaps a Death in the Family beating of Robin in the Knightmare sequence? We already have Darkseid basically confirmed at this point. I'm slurring my text just thinking that this is only a few days away.
  4. Well. That escalated quickly. Back to the normal routine of speculating, folks.
  5. I was under the impression that black was an absence of colour, whereas white was the saturation of every colour. Black and white aren't colours, so to speak...
  6. Let's talk everything that is the future of gaming, from Nintendo to Sony, Xbox to PC, from now to 2030 and beyond. Where do YOU think gaming is heading?
  7. Mine are too! And I mean sure, he's haired, that's different. For now.
  8. If this is legit Nintendo have a real problem on their hands (not arguing for or against its validity). The last thing they need after the last few months of yet-to-be-disproved "leaks" is NX related hardware/software getting out, especially as a photo.
  9. Agreed, especially seeing as it allowed for a reemergence of a topic somewhat discussed when that patent "leaked". I can say for a fact that I actually hate the concept and shape of that patent now.
  10. Okay. Seems like we're all a bit lost now.
  11. I'm surprised it took so long. Oh well, at least now we know that we really don't want anything that resembles that. I don't, anyway. I love wired gaming but boy would that thing eat through your electricity. I wasn't too sure either. But I just want to accept it as such just because I've never loathed a controller so much, fake or not.
  12. I'd have to imagine it would be painful to the Nintendo execs that they're thrown at. That things looks pretty streamlined.
  13. Well, it's different, I'll give them that. If Nintendo want to win E3 it looks like they could do it just by revealing that controller.
  14. A bunch of movie clips have been released. There's also some B-roll footage. EDIT: if these don't work they're all available on Joblo Movie Trailer's YT channel
  15. Damn. Saw this the other day when it was released. Still saddens me to my core. I hope if and when Nintendo have their showcase of the new console at E3 that they show another tribute to Iwata.
  16. Damn. That got to me. A massive chunk of my childhood just flashed before my very eyes.
  17. I know, just thought it would be a great gesture. And as for the naming, we got the "Wii" and "Wii U", this would actual be a much more mainstream name than the aforementioned (I'd buy the console simply because it was called the "Iwata" that's how credible his name is), not to mention how it would swarm social media to the point EVERYONE knew why it was called that. Perhaps even just having a pre-loaded Mii that shows us around the interface called or having features of Iwata, I'd take anything, as long as there is some sort of gesture. The man's done nothing but make water into rainbow unicorns for Nintendo during his tenure, and before that at previous posts. "On my business card, I am the President of Nintendo. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer." I think that says it all.
  18. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and watching a lot of videos from a long time ago about Iwata. Seeing as the NX seems to be his final console initiative (though I wouldn't be surprised if he'd gone into work on the next handheld too, especially if it is a hybrid), the most fitting and honourable name Nintendo could give the NX is the "Iwata". In my opinion, anyway.
  19. I like the thinking, the general body shape seems to be the same. I took my original idea to Gamexplain, and well...
  20. Very strange, as was that recent trailer depicting the villain carrying out multiple Mega Evolutions using his staff. Seems to be following Xerosic's dress sense with the design of those goggles... I haven't watched a Pokémon film since the 10th movie I think it was, the one with Darkrai. I am now thoroughly excited for this upcoming instalment.
  21. Been looking at the screen captures I posted last Friday, and I'm starting to notice something. Now, I've been in camp Hawaii drinking the Kool Aid for a while now, and writing the bird off as a red-crested cardinal. However, take another look at these two images in particular: Over-the-shoulder look at the bird's head; A wire-framed profile of a bird; Looking at these two images now, I'm noticing that the 'tuft' on the heads of the birds are completely different. Looking at image one, the head of the bird is clearly very round, with a tiny curved 'tuft' at the back of the top of its head. In comparison, in the second image, we can see that the very same 'tuft' is massively elongated, adding an unrecognisable curvature to the shape of the head, leading to a head length increase of 50% to 75%, a massive change in size. Taking a closer look at the beaks, we can see that in image one, the bird has a straight and short, albeit pointed, beak. However, image two seems to show a somewhat curved beak. What I'm getting at here is the possibility that these two images are of two different birds, either before the bird in image two was altered to be the bird in image one, or, alternatively...they're two different Pokémon. A closer look at an image that flashes on-screen for a moment too is that of the designer working on these designs. However, a closer look depicts a more sudden change in covert size between levels, whereas the previous images depicted a much more gradual shift in size: Wing-span we get to see at forefront (previous image): What we see in the trailer: A closer look: Just thought I'd give it a mention, and though I don't feel confident in my latter argument, I feel pretty confident with the former one. EDIT: also, @Serebii, a quick question if you don't mind? I remember much of the post-M18 hype relating to a certain Core and Zygarde, and though the movie posters have been revealed and we've gone from Zygarde vs Volcanion to I don't know what, with the Core being in the Pikachu short I assume, has it been confirmed that the Zygarde tease for XY&Z was in relation to M19 or the anime? Just remembered the whole Core thing (I think the argument on some forums went: GEN VII CONFIRMED) being leaked out at the end of last year's movie is all.
  22. Rewatching the start and hearing "you may think you know everything we've got in store this year, but..." isn't a great sign for that apparent leaker from a week or so ago. Or that person who made the European Direct leak. Overall, pretty underwhelming, as we saw a LOT of it coming. On top of replaying a ton of Pokémon this year, I can also get Metroid, some Fire Emblem games, a new Kirby game, and maybe Monster Hunter. Still have my doubts over whether that's enough to last me until the NX and Sun/Moon though... In all honesty, this just felt like Nintendo saying "hey guys, we're still here!". Hearing someone say they want to talk about something but can't right now? E3 plug. Absolutely. Oh Nintendo...I hope you give us what we hope for at E3, I really do.
  23. "F Caviar" has supposedly been used to refer to Pokémon Rumble games in the past, and is one of the code names on that leaked list for first party Nintendo 2016 3DS releases. Just going to leave that there...
  24. I'm gone for a few hours and the apparent contents (most of which I totally called!) of the Direct are leaked once again. Nintendo and their friends (looking at you Pikachu) are having an absolute nightmare of these are the contents... And it doesn't even look to be anything of real interest. All toes crossed they have something up their sleeve.
