I'm perplexed. My local Odeon has had Civil War tickets up for about a month now, but with no VIP seating (mine and my friends' standard set since going to see The Force Awakens). Emailed them about it, said they'd look into it. Month later and still nothing...sigh It's being shown at Cinema Con next week and the embargo has already been lifted, boy oh boy is the Mouse confident with this one. Early anonymous reviews already praising it, but Apocalypse not so much. The new Bourne film may be shown too.

Couldn't be happier that we don't get a voice for Link. -
He's originally more a filmmaker and photographer, his vlogs are the things of beaut. For example, check this one out (be sure to stick around to the thirty second minute mark just to see the title sequence!). unlike many vloggers, it's all quality over quantity with him.

Still not known to the masses. Casey Neistat Easily the best vlogger on YouTube. Go on, watch just one. You're hooked, aren't you? Also the guy (along with Jesse of BFvsGF fame) responsible for that NYC snowboarding video during that hurricane a month or two back.. Go check Casey out!

Rogue One teaser! Hype hype hype!

I agree, it does seem a bit soon still for another Spidey reboot, but alas, in Tom Holland and Feige I trust. Kind of still hoping they eventually claw the Fantastic Four back from FOX in time for Phase 4 (oh how charmingly fitting), both to stop them from making horribly destructive versions of those characters appear on the silver screen and so that we can see Marvel do it right. That and I'm hoping Infinity War actually has some major repercussions which Civil War looks like it will have, so adding them and more members (as well as the rights to Galactus!) just makes too much sense for me. Disney have plenty to offer in return, too.

I assume you mean before they started putting money before the fans? Which sadly is how it's felt recently, though things have definitely improved over the last year. Apart from their blunders concerning Super Mario Maker. Gosh...

Which statue would that be? And yeah, I forgot Michael Stuhlbarg too. Oops. To the contrary, though. I'm super excited for this film, yes, and Civil War, but Black Panther is probably my most anticipated of this phase. The mystic elements of Wakanda and Black Panther's lore, as well as vibranium and the fact he's what, five times richer than Tony? I cannot wait, African billionaire panther versions of Batman all the way!

I went by myself on my second viewing of this and what I believe was my fourth of five viewings of The Force Awakens (?). It's nice to eventually see such movies by yourself, but I hate doing so on initial viewings, and especially on opening weekends. I believe it was tracking for a 58% to 68% drop, which ended up being a 69.1% drop off to $51.3 million domestically. It dropped from $254 million to $85 million internationally, a 66% drop off. And I mean, it was sitting at fourth in China at the end of the weekend, losing out to local films which were by no means blockbusters. Seriously, it's just passed $700 million worldwide, and it's going to struggle to get to $1 billion it seems. The power of people not understanding Rotten Tomatoes? Perhaps. This film cost over $400 million to produce and promote too. They'll be mad at WB, as they clearly seem to be. EDIT: already starting to wonder how peculiar a choice it was to reveal the slate in the first place. A phase in Marvel is what, 4 or 5 years? Whereas, if we go from MoS, this "phase" (cohesively messy slate) will be SEVEN years long if they stick to it and end with it in 2020. I'd much rather after that they sort it into "phases", just to give it more of a meaning (and don't make minor mistakes like the MCU in revealing a phase before the current one has even finished!)

Well, in that case, wouldn't it be cool if [insert everything I've repeated too many times on this single thread to be proud of and what I can no longer get out of my head].

I was referring to the fact that things outside the tent poles, your lower budget films, are being pushed aside. As a business it makes sense, but they've had recent success in the mid/low budget areas: Creed, The Intern and Midnight Special, for example. It's bad for the industry in general. As for average drop off...I'm not too sure. A near 70% drop was steeper than many expected from opening weekend to second, and it'll be lucky if it's making over $10 million in three weekends time.

This would be a small step up from an Action Adventure like PokéPark. Unreal Engine 4, trainer customisation, MMORPG traits, Bank compatible, open world, "choose your path"...
-
First major comic book movie to delve into the realm of magic. And, I mean...Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwitel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen and Rachel McAdams...

Squirtle Skwaaaaaad Master RACE Of course it wouldn't be a monthly pay-to-play!

I don't recall anyone saying this was going to be a main series game? Swear I've already said that...

...In the early hours of an English morning. Unlike with The Force Awakens 'final' trailer, I won't be getting up at 3AM in the morning, but I definitely look forward to waking up and seeing it!

The Batman I couldn't be more excited for, a Man of Steel sequel though, I'm not too sure about. It depends. A certain event in BvS could see this Superman become lighter in tone and more like the man in the comics. The other bit of news is that Wonder Woman had moved up three weeks to June 2nd 2017.

My post from yesterday: And today's big news: Two new DC films added to the slate, for October 5th 2018 and November 1st 2019 respectively. Told you I'm Batman

Yeah, absolutely. I'm hoping that with the growth of Yokai Watch, in Japan especially, Pokémon can snap out of that rinse and repeat stuff and try something new and spectacular. Kind of what I hope Sun and Moon to be (past game references and nostalgia galore, to some extent, whilst still being true to itself as a new pair of games), but at home and better looking.
-
My hand is dipped in the pot saying they should totally do it - but not as a replacement for the main series games. Perhaps a simultaneously releasing home console game, but I'd rather it be totally separate, so a new region, a handful of new, game-exclusive Pokémon (you have to try every way you can to sell units, right?) and such is what I'd rather see, compatible via Bank to the portable games. So kind of like a pseudo-main game. Eh...they know it's nowhere near as big as it used to be. I mean, that's not even half of what RBG sold.
-
Almost every way you look at this, this is not a good thing.
-
Open world, Bank compatible, MMORPG on Unreal Engine 4 with customization, game-exclusive Pokémon (at most we're talking like thirty or so) and the like, possibly even with the choose your route system implemented in games such as Knights of the Old Republic?
-
well of course, all being avid Pokémon fans, we'd suddenly be around £80 lighter... It did work with Smash Bros rather well, actually, though I don't own either game and think that one kind of becomes weaker due to not having the same faculties as the other. Perhaps buying one version could get you a discount when purchasing the other through My Nintendo?
-
I find the idea of a portable and home console release kind of sketchy, if what your outlining is for the same game. I mean, it would sell well, but I doubt people would buy it twice on both platforms (like with the LEGO game franchise). Though, that brings up something interesting. What about we finally get an auto-save feature offered to us?
