  1. Haha, had a proper look now, and it's actually a tie. We've not had one before, and going by what I suggested in the OP, deciding based on likes, it's actually @RedShell who can decide the theme (my level has 3 likes, his has 4). So I'll wait for his response. Magikoopa's Molten Madness [0] Autoscroll Antics [3] Sméagol / Dcubed / darksnowman TLOZ: The Scrolls of Time [3] RedShell / Vileplume2000 / Nicktendo
  2. @RedShell thanks for the 5th gnome! I now have: Sprightly gnome Surprised gnome Reliable gnome Laid-back gnome Rebel gnome If anyone's collecting gnomes and want some of these let me know. Edit: thanks for the recipe @drahkon! Came back, and got ambushed by a sccorpion. Dammit.
  3. Yeah, it looks like I won (despite the difficulty, I promise I'll make something easier this time around!). I'll make an official post later tonight, but for now: Theme is SMB 2. I want to see the smb2 power-up being featured, and at least one use of Phanto / cursed key. It's a shame this restricts you to the smb 1 style, but most 3.0 additions restrict you to a specific style unfortunately. Chose this one because I obviously had to choose a 3.0 addition, and I was already working on something with the bulletmask, which I'm having fun with. But hadn't touched the smb2 powerup yet, so I have no idea yet.
  4. I had to go back for a 2nd attempt to get those. Not sure without knowing what you did, and if there are any variations, but what I did on the 2nd run was ignore the little space with 2 fruit that is blocked by a tree (close to the start). On the first run I dug that tree up using a fruit. 2nd run I waited until I had access to the DIY bench, crafted the axe, and cut that tree instead. Those vouchers are worth 3000 each.
  5. Yep, weirdly enough i think I'm playing more AC than I was last month.. So I neglected it yesterday and haven't counted the votes yet. I'll go have a look.
  6. You still online? I would love a beehive.
  7. You captured me in quite an action pose, @Ronnie!
  8. People, mallary is making golden dishes. Not staying open for very long. edit: changed to dodo dodo = 7KBKS
  9. If you're quick I'll re-open the gates, and you can come get one.
  10. My gate is open. DoDo: KJJL3 Chops is making an ironwood chair. Not much interesting in Nook, Ables has a few weird things like grape hats. @Tales your welcome to come pickup the recipe.
  11. I'll boot up the game in a minute. Edit: but let me check out my island first.
  12. I do. You can have it if I can come buy that sax.
  13. Don't forget to buy the mother's day mug by the way. What's interesting is that it mentiones "International", so we'll probably see the return of regional items. That's going to be fun for trading this time around.
  14. Keep the gold, take the flowers (not sure if I have 8?), but I'll happily come raid your island afterwards. Very quickly though, because I'm going to take a break around 19:00 CEST I think. Maybe a little later.
  15. If you don't have any diy recipes (anyone crafting on your island?), or if you have any cool back cellos in your shop (or other stuff), then I wouldn't mind a gold nugget. Are you sure you want to lose it? Actually, never mind, just come take the flowers.
  16. Sure, but it's not all about the ports though. And I don't know from my own experience, but I heard the CoD ports were fun with wii controls. But also cool exclusives like Zack & Wiki, which were not hindered at all by the Wii's inferior specs, and in fact greatly benefitted from the wii controls. Too few people gave that game a chance, even if it's in my opinion top 10. But also 3rd party stuff like Red Steel (2) and Silent Hill. Anyway. Doesn't matter anymore, can't change what's happened. Anyway, I particularly don't want much stuff from EA, I'll buy C&C remastered on PC, but yeah, personally I would buy a Resident Evil 2 remake on Switch to name an example. It's not there, so I can't buy it.
  17. Alright, gate's open.
  18. There's no guarantee they'll make it short term. That's the risk of running a business. But not planning for the long term does guarantee you run your company into the ground, eventually.
  19. I hadn't followed the full discussion yet, I've been reading up now. Was mostly reacting to what was posted directly above me. But yeah, I was "fortunate" to have missed the Wiiu era, so that definitely helped. I can understand that things are less great if you did play all those games back then. Or on other consoles. And yeah, Switch controllers are terrible, and the worst in Nintendo history. That's a fact. But game-wise, personally, I'm very happy. Looking at my most played games, I see a healthy mix of games, of which only a few can be even considered a Wiiu port.. Splatoon 2 and Mario Maker 2, which I personally consider full sequels, but not everyone does. Zelda of course, although in that case you had the choice of experiencing it on Wiiu or Switch. And a few "old ports" the system is famous for, notably Dark Souls ( a game which I myself already had played, but happily replayed it on Switch), and a few others, like Doom. Most are new games though, from 1st and 3rd party, some of those indies.
  20. That's true, and that did sting when the Wiki launched.. That said, in hindsight.. I don't think we would have a Switch now if they didn't follow that path back then. They want to make money, but they prefer making less money on short-term over more money on long-term, which is what I don't get.
  21. No 3rd parties too. And consumers.. some of you forget to buy these games. They shouldn't have abandoned Nintendo during the Wii period. The Wii had some amazing exlusives, but it dropped during that period. Partly because some of you didn't buy these games. After that, the audience was gone. Chicken & egg etc.
  22. Chops is making a golden candlestick, who wants to come over? @Ronnie, what did you want again? The May Day tour was fun. Went for a 2nd run to get the secret stash I missed. Got the ticket at 05:00, but left the tour itself for the afternoon. Did catch a few new bugs & fish between 05:00 & 06:00, though not quite as many as the first night of April.. Got a few of those blue butterflies (they're worth good money), a catfish, and a violin beetle, and a blue beetle thing. Oh and a few angelfish, also worth good money, but I already had one I caught a week ago on the southern hemisphere.
  23. The problem is that they need to build and grow the audience in the first place, something they should have done 3 generations ago. This is sheer short-sightedness.
  24. I just happen to get the recipe this evening, I think? Not sure if the one you want.
