  1. Haha. Well, after Cube mentioned Darth Vader should be something grander than a mere roleblocker, I remembered you mentioning in another mafia you were a neutral Darth Vader. Something about your Chewie plushy .
  2. . I wouldn't even know why you'd have to think about, unless like I said, your computer may not be able to run it well. Although I love wii controls for FPS games, I still prefer "traditional" controls (i.e. mouse / keyboard), in my mind the order for best controls goes like this: PC > Wii > N64 > dual analog (X-Box 360 / PS3) > DS (stylus) > touchscreen (like Iphone). So when I have the choice, PC wins everytime. Then assuming you have a decent PC, and also the game is not a messy console port, the graphics are better on the PC or at least equal. Then, of course, PC games are always cheaper, unless you're called "Call of Duty".
  3. I'll make it for you: PC. Unless your specs fall well below the recommended spec or even minimum spec requirements.
  4. Thanks. Must have been the Scorsese name that brought this series to my attention. Anyway, haven't seen the trailer, but it does sound interesting. I'll go watch it later, and keep the title in mind, and in the meantime, I'll tell the people I know to keep an eye out for it.
  5. Well, perhaps Darth Vader could be a neutral vigilante.. Sort of.
  6. A reminder please (well, I could google, but..)? I recall the title, but I have forgotten what this was supposed to be about. I do recall I was interested as well.
  7. Yeah, but you should be asking why he would reveal Darth Vader. Perhaps he's more valuable than a roleblocker.
  8. We've been suspecting you and Cube because of maths and Jonnas's & heroicjanitor's claims. Who are you, and why / how do you know Cube is Darth Vader?
  9. I think I've heard all I need to hear. Go for Ellmeister today, and Cube tomorrow. The Peeps is good.
  10. Yeah, but that was what I was saying. I personally think DX didn't relied that much on stats. Hmm, I have to finish DX 2, started it some time ago, story-wise I think it has been good so far, although I'm not liking the choice I have to make. Gameplay wise, myeah. You know. I've not been annoyed by it personally that much, but that's because of my playstyle. I cloak, then hit enemies in the face with my baton. I haven't made any kills so far, although I believe 1 or 2 died in crossfires without my help. I didn't have to do much shooting.
  11. To be honest, I'm not entirely sold on Cube's claim either. Like I said, I had to google it . If Jonnas tells a bit more about himself, and if Ellmeister comes on to defend himself, we'll figure it out.
  12. Why would Nintendohnut know you're good? Are you the Jedi who was halted by the gambler? Might help if you tell more about yourself. Anyway, I don't think there are any vigilantes, unless one has been keeping a low profile so far. He could come in handy right now.
  13. Nope, I consider it a FPS at its core too, but with a whole lot of RPG elements and far more gameplay choices than you're used to. I personally draw the difference at stats. To give a good example, Fallout 3 is a RPG with FPS elements. Stats directly influence your skills, you level up, and all your skills get better. Deus Ex 3, you get exp again, buy you simply upgrade your augmentations. No HP, no extra damage, no aim assistence or something.. Perhaps some slight stat modifying to improve your accuracy, like the first game, but this was only by making your aim more steady, you still had to do the aiming yourself. The first game had weapon mods, this one has too I believe, but that's a FPS trait.
  14. Hmm, I had to google that one . But as far as I can see this Plo Kloon guy is good. Which would leave Jonnas and Ellmeister.
  15. #################### Oh and vote: Ellmeister
  16. I do think you only get a private message on the day you die. Diageo got it on the 2nd day after he had been poisoned. If you're the gambler, I'm betting you get a private message next day. Heroicjanitor should be a Jedi.
  17. Hmm. Well, I personally think you're good. But it could come in handy if both you and Nintendohnut just state your complete roles, just to clear up confusement, and to make sure Nintendohnut's poisoned. Since I also believe heroicjanitor is poisoned (could be a used as a ploy, but I don't think it has been in his case), that leaves Cube, Jonnas and Ellmeister. I'll wait for a vote count before I vote myself, but I'll be hopping on the bandwagon. But like I said, I want to hear from all 3 people.
  18. Your post wasn't there when I started posting. Although it's confusing if you would have been referred too as 2 different characters, as it is clear the gambler and the smuggler are 2 different people. And, I have to read back, but I think the masked man targeted 3 different characters so far. So you may have been affected by something else, or you're correctly implying MadDog made a mistake, or you're simply creating some more confusement. This is what we should focus on. There's already a bandwagon going for Ellmeister. 2 things to note / people should realize if they don't already: with the lynching of Paj, Dannyboy is confirmed good. Assuming we succesfully lynch a mafia member, if it's one of the 4 candidates apart from The Peeps, then the Peeps is automatically confirmed good. If it is one of those 4, then automatically, one of the others is one too. If we can catch that one too on the next day, we can clear everyone who has posted on that page Marcamillian has investigated. So I'd say, we pressure those guys, at the moment it's Ell, but I think I want to hear from all of them before this day is over, so we know exactly what to do next turn.
  19. Not sure of all the intricacies.. We learn that people who have been poisoned, die on the second night after the night they've been poisoned. But Diageo seems to have targeted someone, but didn't get to fulfill his task. Another important thing to note. The info we could have gotten is irrelevant at this point. Since I personally didn't feel Diageo's alignment (neutral) was being questioned, I don't think this was Chair, more likely a tracker, because that would've been relevant info if he were still alive. If it was a tracker, he doesn't have to say anything at this point of course. Still not clear to me what to make of this, nobody really mentioned being roleblocked or something I think? Like the masked man, no real clue as to what he does. The gambler being poisoned most likely means he's good. He has 2 more days to live.. Myeah, nothing to get from that. We have to hurry. I'm getting anxious, almost enough to start a random bandwagon, however, I'll wait for anyone with hopefully some relevant info, although reading the write-up it doesn't look like we'll get any. Keep in mind, the jedi who got poisoned last night should've gotten a private message, unless it was Chair or even ReZ who got poisoned. If not, this person will die tonight, I assume, eventhough there doesn't seem to be a direct mention of someone's condition worsening (which would make sense in ReZ or Chair's case). There probably isn't a way to cure them now, if there is, I hope this person knows what to do.
  20. Hmm, I finally started playing this not too long ago, because I've been neglecting my Nintendo games (I haven't touched my Wii for over a year I think, since I've moved it downstairs to the living room. I should move it back again to my room). Anyway, this game was on my backlog, so finally started it for real.. And I liked it. Initially. But then the "capitalist" aspect of it began to tire me, and I have a feeling it will only get worse instead of improving. Earning money is hard, losing money is easy. Keep in mind I'm not constantly saving and restarting games because of "lost" money, I intended to play it normally. But then are all those fuckers who keep asking higher prices, and if you don't offer enough money, you lose it, and you're screwed. On the other hand, I feel I always get ripped off if the few cases they offer me rewards. So, like I said, losing money is very easy, but the amount you need to get through the game increases at an alarming rate. Which is the reason I started to dislike the game.. I have now the fear I can "break my game" by losing too much money at a point where I can't earn it back in a relatively easy fashion. Or rather than easy, because hunting ancient coins on the beach is easy, simply a "fun" or at the very least a non-repetitive fashion. Again, keeping in mind that I play the game normally, and don't intend to make much use of returning to earlier saves. I'd like to hear from people if my fear is grounded or if it's nothing to worry about, with as few spoilers as possible. Then I may go pick it up again. I think I was about to visit the first new continent. I do like most everything else about the game, the very disturbing atmosphere especially, so it would be a waste if I didn't continue with it, but at this point, I'm in favour of starting my replays of both Golden Sun titles.
  21. (I'll comment on that post-game )
  22. The thing is, what I've been trying to say, it depends on the mod, and the complexity of the game. It won't be always easily forgeable. Think of it the other way around. It is one thing to "quote" for example a role PM, and make some convenient "adjustments", but for some mods, it will be very, very hard to just make up a complete role in the same style the mod would do. And sometimes, as a mafia member, you can't get away with just a few adjustments or a twisting of the truth, you need to come with blatant lies. What if people go asking you to quote the private messages you got? If it is allowed, it's fair game for people to ask you about the PM's you got. If you have to make something up from scratch, it will be very easy to make mistakes. This will make it harder for anyone who needs to lie.
  23. Hmm, after seeing the poster you posted earlier, and after reading the synopsis.. To me it looks like a case of "sounds interesting but disappoints when you see it". That is a great cast however.
  24. No. The explicitly said that was not their goal. Their goal was to simply bring every type of text-based communication together. This includes mail. So it's not replacing it, rather, mail is one of the parts of it. I assume there won't be any point convincing Ashley on this one, but in order to use this, the people you're communicating with don't need Facebook. The example they used was someone getting a mail from their grandmother. You receive it as a Facebook message, i.e there's no disctinction being made between mails, text messages and IMs etc., but when you respond, your grandmother will receive a mail back.
  25. It's not about putting quote tags around something, it's the simpel act of without thinking about, hitting "quote" and post info from the mod in the gamethread. You should use your own words. Obviously, when you get a PM simply stating "A targeted B", then there's no way to state that differently and easier, but that still doesn't mean you just should go and quote that. It also depends on the mod. Some may keep their PM's simple, others don't. Another example would be the PM's Jonnas sends players in his Gentlemen's mafia. And then it's just a matter of principle. Mods shouldn't be part of the discussion. If you directly quote a mod, then it's about if the mod's info is correct / incorrect / useful / not useful. People shouldn't be questioning info from the mod, they should be questioning infor from the player. A mod shouldn't be involved in the discussion.
