  1. I was on playing but there was a fella on called JJ on my team. He was terrible, I thought I was doing well, 8 kills, 2 deaths, painting the town red but he dragged us down with his score and play so I left in anger.

Ah yes, Captain Scarlet. He should be scarlet, also brutal.

    Star Fox Zero

I hate Thunderbirds. Awful $h1t on TV growing up. What was that other string puppet muck that was on? Stinkray!!!
  4. Operation AxiomMergeTroid anyone?http://www.destructoid.com/axiom-verge-probably-coming-to-wii-u-in-2016-294521.phtml That's great news if it happens. I wish Nintendo would make a new 2D Metroid game and put it on the Wii U.
  5. He probably thought of that when looking at Starfox.
  6. Good about the weapons(33 unreleased), not cool about the lack of stages(10 in total with just 2 remaining to be unlocked). I seriously hope more stages are coming as free DLC. Also hope for more modes.

    Star Fox Zero

If Starfox is an hour and a half long, I ain't buying it especially as it looks now. Definitely needs online multiplayer to give it some value.
  8. I suppose they're good at the disappearing trick. :p
  9. What is "the magic that happens with amiibo?"
  10. I'm glad you saved me the effort. From about 6:30-7:30 was a personal highlight.

    Star Fox Zero

I think the graphics will be improved before release. I'd certainly hope so. They may also have to be downgraded because of the 2 separate views. But yes it does look barren and it's a bit uninspired in terms of gameplay. Oh and I just have the feeling that it's going to be a short game.

    Star Fox Zero

Miyamoto Says Star Fox Zero’s Art Style Serves A Purpose And A Lot Of Games Look The Same We’ve all now got a good look at Star Fox Zero for the Wii U, the brain child of Shigeru Miyamoto in collaboration with Platinum Games. What do you think of the game art style? Because Miyamoto said that the visual style and the gameplay is the main point of the game, and was made of a cartoony nature on purpose. As most games now strive to look super realistic, he thinks they’re all starting to look the same, and presumably wanted Star Fox Zero to stand out that way. Question is, does it stand out for the right reasons or look weaker, as the article suggests? In a press event Sunday, Miyamoto said that the point of Star Fox Zero is the gameplay and the visual style of the game, which is somewhat cartoony. It was made that way with a purpose. “A lot of games nowadays look so realistic that they all look the same,” Miyamoto said. The famed designer is right–many casual gamers might have trouble telling the difference between a “Call of Duty” and “Battlefield” game. But Nintendo’s strategy also reflects that the Wii U has far less graphical horsepower than rival home consoles. http://mynintendonews.com/2015/06/21/miyamoto-says-star-fox-zeros-art-style-serves-a-purpose-and-a-lot-of-games-look-the-same/ http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2015/06/16/nintendo-at-e3-2015-star-fox-returns-but-silence-on-wii-u-zelda-and-nx/
  13. I don't want it both ways. I want amiibo to die or at least be kept a million miles away from games. No just die.
  14. Please stop making "erroneous" statements. Splatoon has content already on the disc but it's locked away behind amiibo. 60 challenges, equipment, weapons, minigames. Mario Party 10 had a full mode locked away unless each New Super Mario series amiibo were bought.
  15. This is the Wii U discussion thread. They both helped and made games for handhelds during the Wii generation as well so what's your point?
  16. It's almost as if your fanboyish defending has become more blind and knows no bounds, Seggiebii. 1 game in 6 years(unless something springs out of the ether before the NX arrives) from 2 studios, is that acceptable? A whole console generation.
  17. Nintendo have very few Western based studios and I got to thinking about what they've been doing the past couple of generations. Retro Studios during the Wii made Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Next Level Games made Mario Strikers Charged and Punch Out!! and also worked on various third party games for Wii including Ghost Recon, Spiderman and Transformers. They also did a Wiiware spin-off of Punch Out. This generation Retro have made Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and that's most likely all they'll do and Next Level Games have made nothing for Wii U. It's a sorry state of affairs. That's 5 main first party games versus 1.

  19. http://mynintendonews.com/2015/06/20/heres-a-first-look-at-the-super-mario-maker-mystery-mushroom-unlock-page/ While the site think they might not all be amiibo, I think it's possible they might be. They might be alternate skins for each amiibo. I remember seeing Isabelle in a green jumper. Edit: And there it is. http://gonintendo.com/stories/236543-will-super-mario-maker-give-you-different-colored-amiibo-costumes Random Super Mario awesomeness that maybe best fits in here seeing as there's no SMB3 thread. SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 BLANKET THAT TOOK 6.5 YEARS TO MAKE Many more photos here:
  20. What are the games as big as MK8 and Smash Bros. last year? What's the big Christmas game? Zelda was supposed to be. Zelda helped make E3 great last year and was a no show this year. So that's another promise broken. I'll be happy with Xenoblade Chronicles X but many won't as it's a niche title. Nintendo seem as interested in selling amiibo as they are making games. Money is money to them. There was 18 new amiibo shown at E3.

  24. I don't get why people want an amiibo game. They don't add anything, if you're a kid, the interaction could be fun. How can people not see them for what they are? Trojan horses. People have spent hundreds of £'s on them. I would prefer games instead. If given the choice would you rather 3 Splatoon amiibo sitting on a shelf or spend that money on the game itself? Something you can play, you know a video game, what this whole hobby is about? I may well wait to see NX for myself, not believe what Nintendo say but what the gaming sites have to say. If Nintendo fail to reveal the specs for a 3rd generation in a row prior to launch, there's probably trouble on the horizon.
