So that they can say they changed something. Nah, they're at 2 different stages of the game. The Wii U version is after Link has got his sword and green garb. The Gamecube version is before that point.
-
That's not worth sacrificing the Wii U version for.
-
Great. Now they need to stop this joke and make it into a proper 3D Mario title not some inbred NSMB/3D Land.
-
Exactly. If there's no cross platform play then there's no need to restrict the Wii U version because of the 3DS. Burn some rubber on the Wii U, tough $h!t if the 3DS can't keep up.
-
I think the Gamecube version looks much brighter and more vibrant.

Official E3 Nintendo Direct Discussion - 11th June @ 3pm
Wii replied to Mokong's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I was thinking their E3 was decent but after reading that I feel bad now. It was a mixed bag. All of the 2nd party efforts including Platinum showed up Nintendo's 1st party games. X, Bayonetta 2 and DKCR2 all look terrific. I suppose E3 was average. Nothing majorly outstanding this year aside from DCKR2. Next year looks much better. Super Mario 3D World is a lazy effort. Not at all what I was expecting. 4 player local co-op. No thanks. I hate it. Do you think this will have online multiplayer? Not a chance. Maybe it'll grow on me the more I see of it but I doubt it, it looks generic, don't like the cat suit and no real great sense of freedom. Smash and Kart look nice but as Bev says no great evolution. It's pretty much more of the same. I won't be picking up Wind Waker as there's nothing new to this port. There was 3 new game announcements though Ghosts has yet to be officially confirmed. The other 2 games were DKCR2 and Just Dance 2013. That's pathetic for a new console. -
It's not just the graphics though. It launched with the Wii so it never had the benefit of motionplus controls. The controls could easily be reworked for motionplus whereas Wind Waker can't. Twilight Princess is a Gamecube game, the same as Wind Waker. TP's graphics will age long before WW's.
-
I think for the remakes Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess were better candidates than Wind Waker. Twilight Princess might be more recent than Wind Waker but it's more suited to the process of HD and would've gained more.

Nothing new = No money for you!

http://kotaku.com/dont-expect-a-lot-of-third-party-characters-in-the-nex-513203533 The 3DS better not end up gimping this game. If it wants to tag along, it should be fit for the fight and not hold back production of the Wii U game. Smash is a console game so I was never sold on a handhel version. This game is a progression so it better have at least the same size cast of characters. Keep Sonic, Snake, see you later, you leech. I want Shulk from Xenoblade, LLoyd from Tales Of Symphonia, Rayman, maybe Viewtiful Joe but I think Pac-man is the safest bet. Get rid of some of the clones if they need to thin the cast.

At last you told a funny. As it stands now the PS4 is only $50 more than the Wii U. We don't know what version of Ghosts it will be. Will it be a next gen port or a current gen port? Will it have all the features? Will it have DLC? Let's not forget, that to say Blops 2 sold poorly would be an understatement. I don't believe anybody will buy a Wii U solely on account of Ghosts. -
As said, the 2D sidescrolling platformers are well covered at this stage. I believe Nintendo made the decision, Retro don't decide, they do what Nintendo tell them to do and they need games out now. Unfortunately the Metroid Prime series combined has sales equal to DKCR on its own. Also, DKCR2 will be out by Christmas, there's no way a Metroid game could make it out this year. It may well be next on the list though. DKCR: Tropical Freeze is I've no doubt going to be the best DK game ever.

First impressions are good. The graphics are very nice, I remember first seeing Mario Kart Wii and not being that impressed. Shame it's so far away. This needs online chat. Again another fault with Mario Kart Wii was the very limited dialogue bubbles. I can't stress this enough. Voice chat is a must, Nintendo. I get the F-Zero vibe that people talk about.

Does Mega Man's inclusion mean we're going to get some proper love from Capcom? We've only had 2 ports from them so far and nothing else announced. Look at what happened with Snake's inclusion in Brawl. Kojima, you are a w@nk€r! Also. I hope Sonic is included again. I'm 99% sure that he will be.

Official E3 Nintendo Direct Discussion - 11th June @ 3pm
Wii replied to Mokong's topic in Nintendo Gaming
These are the 3rd party games featured in the E3 Nintendo Direct: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Batman: Arkham Origins Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut Disney Infinity Just Dance 2014 Rayman Legends Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure Disney's Planes Skylanders SWAP Force Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist Sonic Lost World Watch Dogs This is embarrassing. The E3 Nintendo Direct had 2 minutes 20 seconds dedicated to 3rd party titles. Half 3DS, half Wii U. Nintendo have more Wii U games in development than are coming from 3rd parties. So there was 12 games shown, nothing new announced and only Sonic Lost World is an exclusive. 4 of the games are shovel. Is nobody else worried or pissed off about this? Iwata is singing a different tune now to the one he promised us before the Wii U launched. -
I know, it's as good as Gospel and your welcome.
-
http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=204893 There's hope. This game sold reasonably well if not spectacular so there's always a chance.
-
http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=204903 That's the why.

I thought there was online in this game. - points for that.
-
It's not often that I say I'm glad a game is delayed but this game looks class and I'm glad they did now. It just keeps getting better and better looking.
-
It's a visual pleaser. This and Xenoblade 2 take top spots in this regard. Never played the first Bayonetta but I'll certainly keep an eye on this going forward. Thing is though, both these games are way off in the future in terms of release.
-
Where is the love for this game? This and Bayonetta 2 are the shining lights from the E3 Nintendo Direct and DKCR2 though it's not what I hoped Retro were working on. This is my most wanted game. Period. Only a Super Metroid style sequel could top this. That's how much I'm anticipating it and I know Monolith Soft won't let me down, they never have. They're like Retro in that regard.

Just to add further to liger05's point. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=204769 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=62665836 Nothing surprises me at this point with Wii U.
-
That's nice and all but next Christmas what will you be playing from 3rd parties? I think after this wave of 3rd party games Wii U could be in serious trouble going forward. There was no new 3rd party announcements in the E3 Nintendo Direct. Of course DKCR2 is going to be a great game, that's something I think we can all agree on. But, I put it like this, if someone gave you a choice between being given €10 million or €100 million, which are you going to choose?
