My "most awesome console ever" won't let me play these videos. I usually have to wait til I'm on the PC or it's uploaded to youtube to watch them. Edit: Nevermind. It's up up youtube. I'll give it a watch now. After watching it, it's not one of his better episodes. I think the cameraman was near accurate, C-. Too much rambling in the middle about things on other platforms that will never concern us Nintendo owners. Don't talk about the devil that is Kojima. He's right about the future Smash reveal trailers. They were absolutely awesome and have now been tarnished because there's no surprise anymore.

Is that even a positive article overall? I see more negativity than positive. It's an underhanded way of bashing the Wii U while pretending to be nice.

I liken Miyamoto's quotes to an ex-girlfriend who cheated on you and left for someone else who she thought was better than you. Now she's come crawling back after realising the errors of her ways. Lucky it's not a girlfriend were talking about because there'd be no second chances. Also, the cover on the EDGE magazine is a bit ironic. I can just hear Miyamoto saying, "Remember this thing? If you mean can you get rid of the borders on either side of the screen then the answer is no. You could probably mess around with your TV settings to stretch it out but it would look horrible.

Yep, it's hilarious, the funniest I've seen in a long while. I wanted to post it but couldn't nick it from IGN. I've come around on paying for it. I do love the DLC content. Am I not allowed question as to when it was ready though? I said I've problems with certain aspects of DLC and where it's heading. This is Nintendo first real go at it. So they have to get it right. I was probably one of the first to preorder it this morning. I think the price is fair. I could be much more cynical if you like. Today we got a palette swap for 2 characters. Shouldn't that already be available? Like in Smash it's always been an option to change your characters colour. I take your argument about how it's gone above and beyond previous MK's in terms of content. But if you look at older games like say Melee and Brawl. Brawl dwarfs Melee in terms of content. If DLC had been a practice and available back then would they have given us Brawl up to the level of Melee and given us the rest of the content as paid DLC? This is what I'm worried about for the future of games. Will they do the same with Smash Wii U? Instead of paying €50-60 by the time they're done with you, you could pay North of €100 after DLC. Nintendo isn't our friend. They're a business and like any business all they care about is money at the end of the day.

Yeah and God knows where you'll be or if you'll even care at that stage to play Mario Kart. I know after most league nights I need a break from it to calm down.

You know Nintendo will be making some serious interest on this DLC money and don't have to make good on their first installment for 3 months followed by another 6 months. So I've paid for something I won't partially see for another 9 months. On this occasion at least Nintendo must be laughing all the way to the bank.

I noticed that too. I only used it a couple of times and it says zero also. And it says I popped 0 balloons which is completely wrong. No rip-off Europe. $12 is not €12. I've said it countless times, we Europeans get shafted. I include British in that statement. $12 is €9.10. Not the €11 we've been charged. I know it's not much but add all those small amounts up over the lifetime of the console and it works out at quite a bit.

Hey for someone SO negative I just preordered the twin pack for €12. Never even thought about the price until afterwards. Thankfully it was €12 and for once a fair price compared to Sterling at least. I can have my conspiracy theories, it doesn't mean I don't still support Nintendo. Had 2 quick races. It seems your characters colour only affects the colour of the GLA. The other 2 remain silver. Just for the record there's far worse than me and my rant is against certain aspects of DLC.

When I compare it to previous MKs, it's not a bad deal I guess. 50% extra tracks for €12(assuming) is alright by me. Cop on to yourself. This is the last I'm dealing with this. It's not outrageous. It should be seeing as it's £7 versus $8 for one pack. There's no statement from Nintendo of Europe regarding a double deal. Hopefully we'll get one in the morning. Nintendo of America released their information very late at night which is unusual I would think. Could be reacting to the leak. It's out of the bag so they may as well deal with it. Nintendo are no different than any other company. Don't kid yourself. They'll do DLC if they think they can get our money. If a company is developing DLC months after the games initial release then by all means I've no problem whatsoever with a charge. I'm happy and unhappy about several things but also curious. Is this complete, when was it completed? It looks like it's not concept art, to me we're looking at finished characters, vehicles and tracks. See this is the problem I have with DLC. Holding things back so they can charge us later for it. Yes it's good for giving the game added legs but it's asking us to pay more. I think this was finished back when the main game was completed and is sitting in a vault or on a hard drive somewhere waiting to strategically come out in November in time for Christmas(and Amiibo) and next May, its 1 year anniversary. Very convenient how they've that already worked out. Do you really think the Mario Kart 8 are going to be working on this for another year? I don't. There's probably a small team for ironing out bugs and reacting to simple doable things e.g. map on the TV or changing next race icon with view race icon. Where's the reaction to the awful Battle Mode since the game came out? Where's the new maps for it? Tough $h1t, we're not getting it because the team has moved on to other projects. I may be wrong, I hope there is new Battle Mode maps. Sorry to be The Grinch. I really like the DLC though it makes it less Mario Kart I can't wait for some F-Zero loving. I understand Nintendo's thinking but I object to paying for something I believe could have been on the disc at launch. They know MK is a cash cow and this is there way of getting us to fork over more while trying to get new customers with renewed hype. Give it to me free, get your publicity and hype and I've no problem. Oh and you know how MK8 took so long to come out and missed the previous Christmas? I believe it's "DLC" like this that helped cause that delay. This leak I think proves the DLC's already ready. They're just getting the milking parlour ready. There may well be more planned because there's still missing characters(Diddy, Boo, Petey) and yet there's fluff like the Koopalings and the metal characters.

Don't say you don't care, you've no European football so domestic Cup runs is all you have/had. To say De Gea was your only recognizable first team player is disingenuous. There was the likes of Evans, Andersen, Kagawa, Hernandez and Welbeck all with considerable first team experience. The bookies knew it wouldn't be a full strength team and still had the Dons at 7/1 to win. The world is once again laughing at United.

They should definitely pay for more exclusives. Hyrule Warriors looks alright. Don't think I'll buy it though, not sure. It looks very repetitive. I think this year I'll be buying only Smash, Bayonetta 2, Shovel Knight and maybe a couple of other indie titles like SteamWorld Dig. That's not a lot. There's huge gaps everywhere in both timeframe and genre. Don't care for Sonic. I don't know if SEGA could make another F-Zero. Amusement Vision are no more. Do they have the talent still? I'm all for letting them try. Pay Capcom for some exclusives. They've plenty of talent and are desperate for money. More collaborations with Namco. That Poke thing, don't care for it. I agree it should be on Wii U. What about an exclusive Tales game? Reach out to western developers. Any collaboration we hear of is always Japanese.
