Its times like this that I wisk that sketchtavern was still around. Twas one of those rare places where immensely talented professionals threw the gates open and helped anyone and everyone. I won't be able to match their advise but I shall endevour none the less. One thing that can really make a difference in posters or graphic design in general is to consider how a persons eye reads the final product. By arranging shapes in such a way that they have "lines" that point to a focal point you can lead people's eyes to the focus of the picture and give more impact to the layout. For example the "earth" dragon poster works really well to draw the viewers eye to the earth in the centre because all of the lines in the shape of the dragon point to the middle, helped by the symmetry of the image. This principle could really improve the layout of the game posters in your gallery. Deciding on where you want the viewer to focus on first and building from there. Just moved a few bits around and made a little less cluttered. The eyes are a natural focus in the middle of the image, the lines of the nose and eyebrows leading towards the center. From the central focus your gaze tends to follow down the lines of the nose and hair towards the title. BAM. Hooked them in with the first focus and then secondary focus deleivered the title of the game. (after having looked it again if the eye line was raised more the effect would work better but thats what tweaking is for )

OK, I've done my duty and scanned the thread to make sure i'm not repeating anything. On seeing the summer release date announcement I had another look at the trailer. All this two samus business.. does it not scream clone (that combined with "other M" and the "living body arms development lab"). The shorter haired samus differs from any samus we have seen so I'd say she was the clone. The fact that blonde lady at the end is the spitting image of every other recent encarnation of samus would tell me that she be the real deal. I know if I was the galactic federation I'd try to make a clone of all my soldiers incase they you know...went off and became bounty hunters or anything. That or try to recreate their unmachable alien power suit. Could play into the whole "flashback" thing with recognition of this "Adam" fellow... the real samus' "genetic memory" coming back to the clone and goes off searching what this all means.

Gotta be said I'm not a comic aficionardo but from my fleeting brushes with the comic world Marvel have always seemed have more draw for me. The brave and the bold cartoon has basically served as a "my first DC" in a lot of ways for me and I love it. People might rile against the "kiddy" batman but the tone of the show fits perfectly when introducing the less brooding and serious characters that have carried over from the silver age (I'm looking at you plastic man). DIE, have you seen much of this series? Have you seen the musical episode with Niel Patrick Harris? Aquaman is a pretty shoddy superhero but they at least make him entertaining.

Coming Fall 2010 I seems that the reletive sucess of WB publishing Scribblenauts for the DS has brought them back to the nintnedo platforms. Brave and the Bold: The Game Official Website/ Not only do I love the humour of the Brave and the Bold series, it's being developed by WayForward (Boy and His Blob / Contra 4). With 2 player co-op (with a wide choice of support charcters from the series) in the Wii version and the ability to sync up the DS game... I'm excited. Excellent material and a developer who has an amazing track record of dealing with established IP in a very sucessful manner... recipie for success? (P.S This thing is going to look BEAUTIFUL)

I'm beginning to worry about Rummy's suspicious love of this game. £5 says that its all an elaborate con to psychologically profile us and steal our credit dard details... ...but you know I'm fine with that so long as I'm doing what all the cool kids are doing.

As a student of some 4 years and going into my 5th (placement year and doing a masters have made my course far too long) I might throw in my 1.21 pence by current exchange rates. Strider - Defininately keep an eye on it. Home for me is in the suburbs on one side of London and Uni is the suburbs the other so there really wasn't much of a wrench moving away for me. For placement I moved to a tiny place 20 miles outside Cambridge and it was a tough year. Can you put your finger on what doesn't feel right about it? I'd definately say find out how to change course and would mean, even if they say wait and see. If its an accredited course it could be a problem, but in general 1st year isn't that specific so best to do it during/after first year than later. The biggest thing I've found is to set yourself apart from the crowd. If your'e only looking at passing the course with a certain grade (even if it is a 1st) there will always be a que of people with the same qualification. Do something that other people won't have. Do something outside of whats you HAVE to do, read up on the area around your subject (magazines and such), if its a creative course make something that isn't coursework, set up or join a club and get involved. Those are the bits on a CV that make you stick in someones mind and will get you jobs.

I clearly have too much time on my hands. I'm wondering about this colbalt blue bean... was obtained with coolness' first post and no others, SHOULD be relatively easy to find but it illudes me. ReZ I was thinking about the lime beans. Seeing the sunshine green bean I made the connection to the sunshine yellow bean and tried a similar thing in the appropriate colour. This yeilded no results. Quick people! Moogles offer won't last for long! Act now to get your beans! ooo

I'm gnna put it out there and say that I have my fair share of beans and am starting to feel the pressure . Kinda wanna get those beans fast. As for the lima beans... I have some ideas but its a case of persistance I suppose!
