At the Asian Online Game Conference held in Tokyo, Japan last week, Koei's Kenji Matsuhara, an executive in charge of the Dynasty Warrior publisher's Online game development strategy, discussed his thoughts about the next generation of consoles. With regards to the Nintendo Revolution, Matsuhara expressed disappointment in Nintendo's decision to use Flash memory for their next console instead of a hard disk, stating that "a full 3D MMORPG (massively multiplayer Online RPG) may not fit." In addition, he suggested that the Revolution's online plan may be quite similar to that of the Nintendo DS'.
Those two statements I've bolded are indeed disappointing and possibly realistic. I really do hope Revolution Online isn't as limited as DS Online. WFC on DS is fantastic for a handheld, but I don't want something similar for a home console

I wonder what the new NGC will be called. You'd think NRV or something but then again its most likely Revolution will be called something else [i hope it isn't though]

The Outfit demo on March 3. And its Playable ONLINE!
"With the demo you'll be able to play 8 players online via Xbox live or 2 players in split screen mode. The estimated file size of the demo is 500mb and will be available on the Xbox live service."
Thanks for that I'll remember to try it out.

Isn't the next Narnia film coming out November/December too? (Prince Caspian)
I don't understand why they are jumping from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe straight to Prince Caspian. Thats missing out The Horse and his Boy. Also The Magician's Nephew is technically the first Narnia but obviously they needed to start with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to gain the most interest.
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe film wasn't a touch on the books(obviously) but I still have to see every one as I'm a big fan of Narnia.

Remember the baseball game nintendo revealed a while ago for GC?
But it got canned? Well...
http://www.cubed3.com/news/4582
Our friends at Aussie-Nintendo are reporting that a source close to Nintendo has confirmed Pennant Chase Baseball, originally for GameCube, has now been pushed onto the forthcoming Revolution as a launch title. The possibilities for new control could be amazing, if true.Definately makes sense. Its the obvious reason they canned it, so looks like this is pretty much a confirmed rev title.

Got it today, haven't read much yet but my first impressions are good. Great layout etc.etc.

This will show Sony, the've "lost" (Betamax, DVD+ [DVD+ and DVD- were both adopted, but DVD- is far more wide spread.] and now UMD!) three times now. Why don't they just give up pushing their own formats?
Bluray is next...
*enters fanboy mode*
The fall of Sony begins

At first I thought this thread would be a request for us to take pictures of our....bones. I was scared

Here's the new screen of Final Fantasy III from the DS Lite conference in Japan that was posted up on the main site.
Doesn't show much other than reminding us how fantastic it looks. I'm sure there was another new screen I saw...I'll try and find it.

Thanks,
WTF is up with the SSBM like background voices, "LEVEL 5!" "You win!!"
You just know thats going to get annoying...
-
The bottom middle one looks like he's giving birth
-
Well apparently it got cancelled a few weeks or months back and I doubt they'd stick it in the list if that was true
-
Not really, it's "To be confirmed" for a start and there was never any official announcement confirming it to have been started OR cancelled, so no one really knows for sure what's going on with it.
Well if the OFFICIAL Nintendo magazine had it in the release list then it pretty much confirms it in my eyes.
-
Also everyone, why else do you think Nintendo have decided NOT to show any screens or footage of any revolution games for so long? Because how the graphics are displayed is part of the revolution. If they were displayed just like normal e.g. PS3/Xbox 360 and revealed no secret do you really believe Nintendo would be holding back screens and footage from us? Of course not.

Revolution will play without a TV?
[picture]
Sorry to squash your dreams buddy.
What does that prove? Nothing we don't already know. He stated that Revolution will still be able to be used on a TV/Monitor(as Nintendo have confirmed it will) but also this display method if wanted.
-
For starters, that is Mario Kart Arcade GP, for ARCADES. NO screens have been released yet for Revolution so this thread is useless.

I've had a similar theory for months and I believe he is right. I don't care if any of you disagree with me.
-
Isn't it obvious? Its fan made
-
Like 'booker said, nothing but on their release dates page it was under 2006, TBC.
Well that pretty much confirms it is in development after all.

Yes please use the Zelda: Twilight Princess Official Thread in Gamecube Discussion to discuss anything to do with the game.

As long as we have the option to choose who we play e.g. on SSBR for me to host and invite three friends in friends list to join then I'll be happy.
