The fact that it says: Disaster: Day of Crisis suggests to me that this title.. is going to be a series.. Disaster: Night Fire (I'm unimaginitive.. but you get the idea)
-
Looks better than the DS version, I'll wait for this instead.

Jay, that's a good point but didn't they make the Matrix which was a pretty big and scalable engine.. and that was third person? If you consider the game is going to be about surviving natural disasters and weather effects.. perhaps it may be disorientating and if anything, less of an experience being encased in first person view. Sure it would be more immersive which is what the console is about but I'm not sure it would suit world disasters.

Yeah if you're mate is playing Halo on live and you want to race her, you can message her then it pops up asking for that disc to be inserted. I hope they go for a unified service like this where you can message your mate where-ever.. not just from one game. I am assuming, but I think Nintendo is going unified and that's great news.

Just a tech demo, the 128 was just a number.. purely marketing spiel to express how the hardware has progressed since Mario 64.
-
Well if it has bookmarks I can make a folder in my del.icio.us on the computer.. the most frequently viewed sites can go in my Wii folder and that can go on my Opera toolbar. I hope very much so the browser is not crippled by security updates, media problems and lack of flash.

I'd imagine Nintendo would want to go third person with this title.
-
The title makes me think this could be the most interesting Metroid yet. However I am judging it on the title alone. Hah.. that means nothing, ignore me.

Yuk, what a bad idea.. I wont buy that. Anyone thinking the controller's speaker will double as a microphone? Or will Nintendo add this later as a nunchaku nozzle for a higher quality piece of kit. I'll just use a WaveBird or a wired GameCube controller over that.
-
Built in? Safe.. Hope they can do something about typing though.
-
That classic controller is a joke.. why the hell is it wired? So lame.. much rather the shell that IGN made.

"I knew I should have bought a 360.." Just watched through the video.. and it's not looking amazing graphics wise. Mario is about the gameplay.. and if anything we will be distracted by the gameplay and controls more than the visuals. The lava monster is about as good as it gets in the video.. I can see sharpies when you go frame by frame.. it's nice. I'm not disapointed. But Iwata said we'd go wow.. the only thing I went wow at (graphically) was a third party title- that was Red Steel.

Fuzpoy, I thought so too.. but you can warp all around planets.. each one can have it's own style and physics- gravity, flying power ups. Each planet will have it's own gameplay because of this. Requiring a different stance to play to defeat enemies and work out puzzles. I was skeptical at first but this is a playground for Miyamoto- I hope he has put enough ideas to make this a bit more than what Sunshine was. I am playing it right now, just got my 10th shine pretty good progress for 1 day. The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step... out into space. Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy. Mario takes advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer. Players perform mind-bending, low-gravity jumps across wild alien terrain as they experience platforming for a new generation.

Solitanze, better than a hands on report, we had people playing live from half way around the world. They were all loving it. I hope they can keep momentum with regard to games.. but even if they don't I'd be happy my purchase was not wasted money.. I am speaking just for the launch titles alone. I am happy there are enough games. My friend (die hard fanboy) said that was the downfall of the Cube, and he wouldn't be suprised if it happens again.

Hahaha more importantly, isn't this the most non-Nintendo product you've ever seen? Apart from the Wii itself..
-
Dante, much love for you.

OMFG THE OFFICIAL SITE IS UP? I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE JAPANESE ONE.. GAH YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN HOLDING OUT ON ME.
-
They are thinking about it, and making it something that a hardcore gamer would use. Always on-- brilliant. It's so simple. They didn't say nearly enough about the back catalogue.. I hope there is more press packs tomorrow for IGN etc..

Takeo, Square have said that there will be specific summon and magic 'gestures' to correspond to specific stuff. I am very interested in this title specifically because it is online, the DS version isn't worth the money IMHO.. especially with FF3 already chomping a lot of time.

What can I say, they sold it to me before I saw it. Amazing.

Nintendork, do you anything other than moan? By positive for once, dammit! I am positive about the following. Mario, Red Steel, Metroid, Zelda, Wii Sports and a few other launch titles. That counts as being positive at least 5 times.. I can't be positive about this, it looks like a laugh and could keep you buy from Christmas until mid January.. then you would get bored and want something new. Much like the PS2 launch had Smuggler's Run. It wasn't that great..

Interesting is the word. Nintendo's only new IP that looks interesting to me, Project Smash looks lame, Excite Truck left me loop warm but this game.. This looks really amazing. I hoped for a dark story.. something for mature games. I got it.
-
I'm pretty sure I read it's going to be called "WarioWare Pushed!" I hate to say it but the system is swamped with good titles.. I won't be buying this unless it's a budget title. There's just too many other games that warrant the purchase.

Miyamoto said that Mario 128 will "of course" renamed. I think Galaxy is the true successor to 64. We're going to be warping all over the Galaxy! This means interesting gravity affects, flying.. new dimensions on combat- power ups. All with the controllers. This game will set the standard for platformers.. Rayman is in trouble.

I'm not excited. ba da boom chih. PS. I was skeptical the controller would be held this way.. I said it was stupid. But they went and did it.. I still stand my my statement, I can't see myself playing games sideways like that- in fact it's such a turn off I won't buy any games like that. I stand by my statement that it isn't a sufficient experience.. but it will probably be quite fun for short periods of time. I guess I'll have to use a shell.
