Good old Dynamo, showing off his prowess with the manual karts again I didn't quite manage to get under 2 minutes last night, with auto of course, so I just may have to bite the bullet and try manual for a change. The best place for a mushroom, methinks, is at the first corner to cut across the grass. You just need to turn slightly more in the direction of the right path of mushroom jumps to avoid understeering.

You can't/shouldn't sell stars anyway but least of all if you have already registered the no. on the card! Once they are in your account, there's no way to move them.

Most valid point here! Maybe this will resurrect the 2D platformer/adventure game, bringing a slew of quality titles! I'd rather play a good 2D adventure than a mediocre 3D one anyday. Let's not forget that Metroid Dread may still be in the pipeline ( Corruption reference ) and there can't be many fans who wouldn't want to sink their teeth into that! Being a first party title should ensure it won't be a 10 hour-finished-and-seen-it-all package. If they introduce 3D special effects like in so many other 2D titles ( NSMB/Paper Mario/Sonic Adventure etc. ), then it rounds out to be an altogether more exciting prospect. What we don't need is another DK Jungle Climber!

Okay, attention received, now do like anybody else and import another copy or wait for the UK release! If you are a little skint then pm me a scan of the disc and I'll see if it's correctable. I have a disc doc. and it works pretty well on the not too deep stuff on CD's and game discs alike.

Would have to agree with trying to make your current system as efficient as possible before upgrading. Even simple things like removing any stubborn fragmented files after a defrag can help. Definitely get a registry cleaner if you don't have one now, as that can get seriously clogged. For about £15 you can be sorted for a whole year. DDR3 is still in its infancy and cannot be truly effective without a high end system behind it, so yeah, stick with DDR2 for the time being. Don't rule out AMD but remember that their GHz ratings are equivalent at about half that of Pentium.

It's not a particularly good comparison as it's fairly well known now that LCD sets are better at producing whites and Plasma sets are better at blacks. Both pictures could be improved by adjusting the picture settings for contrast and colour, so it's down to refresh rate really and Plasma wins on that score...although LCD is catching up pretty quick with brands like Toshiba's REGZA range.

Clearly they found that it was fairer to limit the quantity so that more different people could benefit rather than fewer people just snaffling them all in one go.
-
Not really, it varies from track to track. Have a look at the bottom of this page on gamefaqs for a complete list

The channels range from 1 to 12 normally; the ones which the router uses to transmit on. You should be able to pick a channel from within the web page ( http://192.168.x.x ) of your router somewhere on the set up/wireless section.
-
Just got a 300 point card...shame there's NEVER any available isn't it!! ( /sarcasm )
-
Make sure you are not using the Windows wireless settings manager to sort out the set-up...it has to be the one which goes with your wireless transceiver which you will have installed from disc. Try a higher channel from inside your router's settings to see if that helps. Make sure your ip assignation is as simple as possible and that the desktop in question has its ip address showing in the place where it should in the router. Obviously, ensure that any security codes ( WPA/WEP ) are entered correctly.

What I'm trying to imply is that people seem to be saying that there are NEVER any cards available...the fact is, there are cards available and frequently! They are put on at differing times to give everyone a chance of getting some...the same reason why they only allow one card per day per member. Of course it's not possible to monitor the site 24/7 but at least people have shown that they can be found.

It's practically unnoticeable on anything sized 32" and under but it does make a big difference on the bigger sets, say, 42" and over. Basically, it gives you a better definition and if you think of 780p and 1080i as being similar, then 1080p is clearly better. The lines are individually focused as opposed to being merged ( inter-laced ).

Just got another 100 card. This just goes to show that you guys are just too lazy to keep looking for the opportunities to get them! That's 5 or 6 chances over the last few days alone and if you multiply that over the time they have been offering them, then there's no excuse for not using up your stars on Wii points, if indeed you have a Wii. If you need to get up in the middle of the night then so be it...it's better than whining about something that you have no case for.

You may have to look in your wifi acceptance t&c's or perhaps any correspondence from Nintendo about what they can send to you and receive from you. Many people don't like the idea of them collecting marketing data but it may be the only way to get certain online features.

Never mind, the first time is always a bit experimental!
-
Well, that is your best, if more inconvenient, option as with some se-ups, it can be tricky to access the wires each time. I can recommend those boxes as I use one myself for all three of my consoles.
-
100 point cards currently available
-
Rather than resort to RGB for the Wii, you could just get a Switch box from ebay and then use component for both consoles.

This is largely what I'm trying to imply. Most people watch Sci-Fi in particular for its over-exaggerated ideals and it becomes just a form of entertainment as opposed to what you seem to want to seek; an artistic interpretation. I'm glad you have plenty of scope for enjoyment left to discover and I'm sure I have enjoyed the things you've already mentioned myself too, it's just that I'm more prepared to take of the judgement hat for the sake of a little light entertainment than you are! Thanks for the convo though, it was quite enjoyable.
-
I think if there's no price or BUY option on Play, then they are currently out of stock. Didn't catch why you wanted VGA instead of Component input for your 360 either, sorry.
-
People who set too high a standard for entertainment levels are indeed losing out by not being able to enjoy an equivalent number of shows as a person with a lower tolerance level. If you peel too much off the onion, you'll get left with very little to enjoy. We live in an imperfect world and our differences of opinion are what make life interesting. I can't tell you you're wrong any more than you can tell me or anyone else here that they are either. When the general feeling towards something is that it's acceptable though, you may start to wonder if it isn't your own opinion which is unnecessarily being swayed by "over-fussiness" as opposed to true assessment. Basically then, it's your loss as far as quantity of stimuli are concerned.
-
Your loss then...

It's impossible to judge a whole series from just a few episodes or even a couple of earlier sections because you need to get the whole feel of what's actually happening to each of the characters and why they are in each of the scenarios that present themselves. Seriously, if you thought Bab5 was poor, you are being way too harsh because is widely regarded as a classic now! That series started with the characters being a little rough around the edges but ended up with the most likeable bunch you could wish to view. Clearly it's a question of personal taste and it took me a while to accept the Aussy lilt to the voices in Farscape...felt like they were showing episodes of Space Neighbours...but make allowances for a few things like budget and some of the acting and accept the puppets as part of the comic interludes and it becomes fairly engrossing half way through and beyond. It's just fantasy after all, so you have to use your imagination sometimes.
