As I am working with health issues I find the Wii quite interesting, if gaming kids get daily exercise for more than thier thumbs child obeseity might be less of a problem in the years to come. If people just quit drinking all those sodas with all the sugar...

Right about now I don´t care about wii since I´m gonna play Zelda on the cube first, but do they have to wait with the realease until the wii also launches? Shouldént this game be ready yet, at least cube-version?

This is one of the best titles for the cube, and is available on players choice. I for one picked it up closely aftert the release.

With all the recent statements here I come to think of a thing, Link looks like Robin Hood...

will I have to do a little twirl for the spinattack? And how gigh should I jump for the downward-thrust? I need a bigger living room, this might not be good news in high density areas in Japan...

As much as i dislike FPS I decided to give this game a chance since I really like 2d Metroid and many reviews says its more adventure than shooter. I really enjoyed the game until I got to the Phazon mines, I played for a long while and with no save points I was running a little short on energy, no panic but still, then I finally reach this room where something that no visor showed starts shooting at me. I panic and for about two minutes I jump around dodge and I have no idea where to hide, then I die and don´t feel like loading and going through all those rooms again for another hapless try in that death-room. This was a month ago and I still don´t feel like loading up the game. So much gametime without saving was wasted and I can´t get on with the game. This conflicts with my nerdish dutyful side which wants to beat all the games I own. Help me! What should I do?

but does it mean I can play with the GC-controls if I buy the wii-version and play on Wii. I agree to the fact that the game was designed for the gc-controller but it would be nice to play it at real widescreen...

i´m not in a hurry for any nex-gen console, always good to wait a year or so until the prices drop. I just want it to realease soon so I can play Twilight Princess on my cube. If the game is ready for the cube they should realease it sooner, they could even make more money since some people might buy the cube-version and then a month or so later the wii-version as well.

if it goes players choice in jpn and usa, should it not come here too soon? anyway, many games will drop in prices soon after the wii release, with or without central pricing...

Ok, I have figured it out. First, look at Tingles reddish nose. After eons of wanting to be fairy, without succes, Tingle persona becomes rather bitter and cruel and mean. Who do we know who is bitter and cruel and mean, but still has reddish nose? Wario! Being Tingle for too long is what created Wario!

I´ll stick with the cube for a while longer, there are still a another few games I want to play which probably will drop in price when the wii launches.

For a gamecube game it will most likely n'be a ten, but mayby not in next-generation standards...

Tingle got first place when some wierd site called gaygamer.net listed the gayest video-game charqacters of all time. Zelda can afford some gore, the age-rating wont change while Tingle does his obscene thing...

you know what i hate (more than tingle)? its the figure-guy in wind waker and minish cap, that guy makes tingle seem normal. And that side-quest in both of the above games really sucked, never in my life that i´m going to complete any of those, and damm nintendo if theres figurines in TP

About losing all hearts, more dungeons means less heart-piece hunting. Most Zelda-sidequests have a heart-piece as the reward but will that mean less sidequests since TT will have as many dungeons as promised? Or will the heart-pieces be 1/8 instead of 1/4?

Everything develops, thats why we in the future also will try to convince our children that movies, music and games from our youth is fantastic while they can´t see whats so special about it. A Link to the past was my first Zelda game and man do i love it. But I have tried the Zelda-games for NES and don´t really enjoy them. Same thing about OOT, I skipped N64 and had a PSX instead. I heard about OOT and tried it on an emulator but never beat ganon due to a bug, later i got the collectors-disc for the GC and after finishing WW i played through OOT. The experience was enjoyable, but I´m sure I would hold the game in higher asteem if I had played it when it was new. Hence my favorite game of all time is A Link to the past, that game was awesome at the time, and hopefully still decent for those who try it now. But regardless of what you personally think of each individual Zelda-game, you must give the creators credit because they are all milestones in gaming-history.

I just wish they could announce the absolute realise date so I can clear my calender and lie to my friends that I´ll be spending a week trekking on Iceland. Since they are so reluctant to tell us the date why not a guessing game in this thread, i say 13 october (friday the thirteenth by the way...)

anyway with all this hype I just want to play this game. I can´t play other games while waiting cause somehow I lack the concentration. I resently got Metroid Prime (late, I know) and when I reached the phazon mines and got killed there I didént find motivation to load and try again. I can just play simple pick up n´play games like SoulCalibur or NBA street which seem more relaxing for the brain somehow. The anticipation is almost literally tearing me apart.

Twiilight... like that would ever happen... To switch the topic a little, I´m a little bit sad that i saw the trailer with Link transforming into a wolf. What if Nintendo would have kept all that transformation business secret, think of how you would react if you saw that while playing the final game yourself. What a shock! To much hype means spoilers...

I had an idea, the las plagas were buried under the castle 10 generations earlier by Salazars ancestor. That event should be played, with a you contolling Salazar senior, and since there where less reliable firearms at the time the game could be more sword, spear and other melee-fighting weapons orinteted. Anybody like that??

I´d say the best dungeon is Dragon Roost Cavern, you get the feel that it is a place which belongs to the birdies but was just resently invaded by baddies. Coolest boss battle is the Giant octorok in Minish Cap, why, a giant octorok thats why!

Since most top games are released to multiple platforms I summarise this generation as such. The only games I want to play on XBOX and PS2 is Jade Empire, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Final Fantasy X. And Jade Empire is being ported for PC so I will get that too. PS2 and XBOX owners miss two Zelda games, ToS, Twin Snakes (much better than MGS2 which I have tried), Metroid Prime (which I got just this week due to normally getting nausea from FPS but this time I feel fine...) to name a few. Then theres the multiplay-games, Mario Kart, Mario Smash Football Mario Party... a lot of Mario there... Then theres Donkey Konga and Zelda:FS for multiplaying but theres also the Cubes fiasko, not many people are ready to get all that extra stuff for an occasional gaming session, I know I did not but I should play Zelda:FS hoping it will come to the DS where it belongs.
