stuido 60 on the Sunset Strip

Series Premiere Monday, Sept. 18 10/9c

Aaron Sorkin takes us behind the scenes of a fictional late-night sketch comedy series. Lately, “funny†has been in short supply at Studio 60. The executive producer just had a meltdown – on live TV. The control room is out of control. The actors are acting up. And that’s just last Friday’s show!

Studio 60’s only hope lies with two wunderkind writers (Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford) with troubles of their own, and the headstrong new network president (Amanda Peet) determined to turn things around.

Shark

"SHARK (Thursday, 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) stars multiple Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner James Woods ("Ghosts of Mississippi," "ER") as Sebastian Stark, a charismatic, supremely self-confident defense attorney who, after a shocking outcome in one of his cases and a personal epiphany, brings his cutthroat tactics to the prosecutor's office. As the head of the Los Angeles District Attorney's High Profile Crime Unit, Stark works for Jessica Devlin, (Jeri Ryan, "The O.C."), the ambitious and accomplished D.A. who despises his ruthless strategies. Devlin teams him with a group of young prosecutors who are about to have the learning experience of a lifetime because, though Stark is seeking to redeem himself, he has no intention of cooling his underhanded approach to cases just because he's now working for the "good guys." Sam Page ("American Dreams"), Alexis Cruz ("American Family"), Sarah Carter ("Numb3rs"), Danielle Panabaker ("Mom at Sixteen"), Romy Rosemont ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") and Sophina Brown ("Without a Trace") also star."

Friday night lights

NBC and director Peter Berg are turning his Universal-produced feature Friday Night Lights into a weekly drama series, reports Variety. The trade says the project is on the development fast track at NBC, with an eye on a fall 2006 premiere.

Berg directed and co-wrote Friday Night Lights, the 2004 drama starring Billy Bob Thornton as the coach of a small-town high school football team during the 1980s. Universal and Imagine Films produced the movie, which grossed just over $61 million.

Berg's current plan is to set the TV take in the present day, thus reflecting the changes that have gripped small towns over the past two decades. A coach character like the one player by Thornton will be at the heart of the series.

Berg write and direct the pilot, executive producing with his Film 44 partners Sarah Aubrey and John Cameron.

Kidnapped

Leo Crain, the son of wealthy businessman Conrad Cain, has been kidnapped, and for various reasons Cain -- who's made some enemies in his business -- doesn't want to involve the authorities. So he hires the mysterious "retriever," Knapp, whose business is just getting the vicitim back no matter what. However, the feds do get involved, as retiring FBI agent Latimer King gets dragged into the case because of different reasons. There's lots of misdirection and rivalry. Who's involved? What's the reason why the Crains were targeted? All will unfold during the season.

Runaway

The Raders look like a normal middle-class American family, with a dad, Paul Rader, his lovely wife Lily, teenagers Henry and Hannah and 8-year-old Tommy. Those are their real names, but as they struggle to blend into a new life in Bridgewater, Iowa, they are all using secret identities. This family is on the run, hiding from the legal system that unjustly accused Paul Radar of a terrible and violent crime. Adding to the danger, the real killer is now threatening the lives of the Rader children. As Paul works to protect his loved ones and uncover the evidence that will clear him, he lives with the daily fear that someone will accidentally reveal the family's dark secret in RUNAWAY, The CW's new one-hour drama. RUNAWAY stars Donnie Wahlberg as Paul Rader, Leslie Hope as Lily Rader, Dustin Milligan as Henry Rader, Sarah Ramos as Hannah Rader, Nathan Gamble as Tommy Rader, Susan Floyd as Gina Bennett, Karen LeBlanc as Angela Huntley.

The Nine

What can happen in your life is often beyond your control. We never know when something will happen and change your life for the rest of your days. Nine peoples are going to face one of these moments that you hope will never happen to you. On a normal day of a normal life, nine peoples are going to be caught in a bank robbery gone wrong and have to endure a 52-hour hostage standoff that will leave some dead and some changed forever.

During the 52-hours of this bank robbery a bond has been created between the hostages and they never going to be the same again. The only people who are going to be able to understand what they have lived are their friends who were there with them. I can't be bothered to read all of your post, but I am a superhero fan so i'll check this out and post about it here. I really hate spoilers anyway, so I wouldn't have wanted to read the post before watching it :)

Hey I watched it, I thought it was damn good :) A very new spin on the concept - engaging too, I really hope we get to see more soon. Seemed like they ripped some music straight out of Batman Begins though!

What kind of things?

It seems she doesn't know how it works yet, it looks more like there's some kind of evil side to her that she can see in the mirror, perhaps a split personality or an invisible person... it's hard to tell but it was kind of spooky

:) You get the feeling she could be a baddie or an anti-hero.
