demonmike04
Ok for some strange reason my Windows Media player wont play all AVI files, so i've been forced to search for over software. I've been using DivX, but its crap. It commonly loses sync with the video and sound, example being im hearing voices too late, and in some cases too early. If anybody could recommend one i'l be happy, but I dont have any cash to spend on a decent one, so anything that works well i'l be greatful for. Mr_Odwin
Video Lan (VLC) or Media Player Classic, but with MPC you may run into the same troubles as WMP.
Shorty
If WMP won't play AVI files even though you have DivX installed, you've probably messed up your codecs somewhere along the lines (downloading codec packs is a common culprit). VLC as Odwin suggested tends to play pretty much anything, but I tend to use Winamp as I find it has a very easy to use interface though, chances are again that if WMP won't play those AVIs, Winamp won't either. Best bet is probably to figure out what's wrong.

MasterYoda
I use Media Player Classic, it played everything I tried, including some corrupted files.
