demonmike04 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Ok, im at my uncles trying to figure out why he's laptop only lasts an hour once fully charged. All i can say is that it only has one battery (This may be the problem, but im clueless on laptop power). Its a Lion battery and the manufacture is 'Generic battery'. Any suggestions on what to do to make this laptop live longer?
Ten10 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Its probably because his processor guzzles energy like a hummer does petrol. I would say the his best bet is to lower his screen brightness and see if he can adjust the level at which his processor works at. As far as batteries go, he could probably buy a better battery for his laptop, the only problem is finding the right one.
system_error Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Without the exact specs it is hard to say but here is my advise: - install Notebook Hardware Control (set it to max. battery) - reduce the background lightning battery: Every month completly load and unload the battery and then if it is not needed store it in a dark place (not too hot if possible) with a remaining capacity of 60-75%. Also don't put the battery in while using AC.

It's a li-ion battery so it shouldn't be unloaded fully ever. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li-ion check that site for instructions how to prolong the battery life.
