Hero-of-Time Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have acquired Game Boys, an action spec by Tom Ropelewski and Evan Katz. The Hollywood Reporter says Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. The story revolves around two thirtysomething video game junkies recruited by the Department of Homeland Security to lead a geeky army of gamers in a battle against creatures that have come to life from a video game they have mastered. Bruckheimer Films' Mike Stenson and Chad Oman will executive produce. Leslie Dixon (Freaky Friday) will serve as a producer in some capacity. Sounds like it will suck then again I enjoy Bruckheimers work. Speaking of cheesy VG flicks does anyone remember The Wizard? That film was awesome, it had the kid in from The Wonder years who played in a Nintendo tournament it was the first time many got to see Mario 3 in action aswell.
Nards Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 lol sounds really lame >.< But I won't judge untill I at least see a trailer
Konfucius Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Souns like it will suck then again I enjoy Bruckheimers work. Exactly my thoughts but the plot sounds almost too wierd to be good.
Fields Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Just as gaming begins to gain some credibility amongst the general public, something like this comes along and destroys it

The real stars were Lucas Barton and his power glove.
