James McGeachie Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 A very sad day for Nintendo. Unfortunate too that he passed with Nintendo in a problematic state of affairs. It would have been nice if he left the world when they were on a high note.
tapedeck Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Genuinely shocked...that he was mortal! I hope they have a bullet bill salute and put a gameboy in the old boys coffin. They'll be gaming in Heaven tonight. In all seriousness, a sad, sad loss for Nintendo and their fans. RIP Hiroshi - although your memory will live on forever through Nintendo.
Fused King Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Iwata's short statement: Iwata said: “We will continue to treasure the values Yamauchi taught us — that what makes you unique lies at the core of entertainment. And we at Nintendo will continue to change the company flexibly to adapt to the times, as Yamauchi did, to carry on his spirit.”
S.C.G Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 VC Weekly 259 With a dedication to Hiroshi Yamauchi. : peace:
