Choze Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Played afew solid hours late last night. So far its superbly addictive. The single player is brilliant. The Goldeneye style missions really set the game apart and is so much more interesting than almost rail shooters ala COD/HL2 style single player fps. You are rewarded for exploring and using alternate options. The environments are much more interesting and while its not quite Deus Ex freedom it works very well. Many stages let you go on multiple floors to decide how to attack. Stealth is similar to Goldeneye. The camera aspect especially. You have outlines like MGS though so you know exactly where they are facing/moving. You can kit out whatever you like. So silenced weapons are handy. Weapon balance is all new. M82 is loud only. The Sta has a huge advantage now and is not burst based like KZ3. The Ai is fun and does the job rather than feel like a typical pop out of barrel scenario a million times. You can interrogate key enemies for info. I am only 4 missions in but the single player deserves praise. Normally i grudgingly play single player fps. Graphics and sound are superb. Its better looking than KZ3 and KZ2 in many ways. The art style is great. Vekta is beautiful and we get to see new things on Helghan Sound effects are fantastic on headphones. Probably the best sounding action game on a portable device ever. Lots of fps culture references. Speaking about i like how they portray the arms dealer as a fps russia type of guy. Multiplayer is great, better looking than the beta and there are ziplines. Works well so far. More impressed by single player so far because its quite unique nowadays despite the goldeneye similarity,
Hero-of-Time Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Yeah, i'm really enjoying the singe player as well. I love how everything nets you some cash. It reminds me very much of the exp system in one of the Rainbow Six games where even offline you could rank up. Using the melee attack via the touch screen is very satisfying.
