Retro_Link Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Thought I'd create a discussion thread for this for people to chat about what's being shown as they watch. Link http://www.gametrailers.com/live/wii-u It's a great watch! And they're learning stuff all the time.
-Dem0- Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 learning stuff all the time. 1. I know where the volume control is. 2. Pachinko game in NintendoLand This is pretty good coverage!
are1981 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Is there anywhere I can watch this now? I did not get the live stream working without regular interruptions.
Retro_Link Posted November 16, 2012 Author Posted November 16, 2012 What are these 'Stamps' they are talking about? Are these Nintendo's 'accomplishments' (the name previously thought), but renamed now?
-Dem0- Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Is there anywhere I can watch this now? I did not get the live stream working without regular interruptions. http://www.ustream.tv/gametrailers EDIT: was going to ask about these stamps too. Also, they STOLE OUR (me & my friend) GAME! my friend actually tried to kill me in boost mode, hilarious stuff!
are1981 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 http://www.ustream.tv/gametrailers Thank you, but I cannot rewind. I want to watch the whole thing. Anyone know where I can?
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Hmmm, don't know if there are any other places to watch it from the start, but you'll probably be able to re-watch the entire thing from GT soon.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 Can save Mii's as QR Codes to share!! For a company that's all about making gaming accessible, they sure make their syncing stuff complicated! I still don't fully understand what I'm doing when I sync stuff. :p
Hogge Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Is that the fairy fountain/OoT main menu that's played when they create characters?
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 No, but it does sound like that. It's actually a re-worked Mii Maker theme.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 The Mii transfer between 3DS and Wii U is and looks really slick.
Phube Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Mii's from photo's... interesting... Love to see how close it gets!
Wii Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Double lead hard-drives don't work as far as I've heard before though they won't know for sure until the update happens.
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Mii's from photo's... interesting... Love to see how close it gets! It's on the 3DS too. Works pretty well, but I think the WiiU version is slightly quicker? EDIT: DAAAAMNN! look at that pile of WiiU games!
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 When does this Live stream end? I need to go to bed, but I want to watch this!
Wii Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Eh pretty sure their answer about the discs is wrong and they ARE 25 GB's.
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Eh pretty sure their answer about the discs is wrong. Indeed they are. I think the capacity was around 25GB.
Cube Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 The Mii transfer between 3DS and Wii U is and looks really slick. It also kind of shows how old/outdated the 3DS is. The 3DS really needed a global account in preparation for the Wii U, and stuff like Miis and friends would simply be available when you log in to the Wii U for the first time.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 The X button does look very close though it has to be said, but yeah I'm sure you'd get used to it; but quite why it's so close in the first place. That stack of Wii U launch games is immense! Would have liked to have seen some Sonic Racing or Batman next!
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Yeah! Sonic would've been a better choice, they both could've played and we do want to see more WiiU footage for it.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 GT's say the triggers on the Pro Controller aren't all that great. Also the analogue sticks are convex, where as I think most would prefer concave.
-Dem0- Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Aaaaand it's done. Pretty enjoyable. Some decent questions were asked, but they couldn't answer a few due to the WiiU update not yet available and some video game embargoes.
