Rummy Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Nice write up! I'm waiting for someone to start making wildly aimed accusations. Preferably not aimed at me. I don't think anyone could do a thing like that, especially not in a political mafia :p
Marcamillian Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Borris Dead?!? Bet it was Ken Livingstone what did it! I'm never sure how effective my role can be so I'll just come out with it in the interest of helping town put the picture together. I'm a role blocker. Statistically, early game you can do more harm than good so I'm hesitant to use it early game (so I didn't last night). DuD's done a bang up job as our leader. I'll start the ball rolling for another term. Elect : DuD
Rummy Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I'd forgot about the elections, I'm going to go for a change of pace and Elect:The Fish. Also forgot it's most votes, so in the interest of getting at least his character that he knows 'nothing about', I'm going to Vote:Tales.
Tales Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Why are you using ``? Are you saying I'm lying? I don't think knowing my name or anything else at this point serves any other purpose than getting people off my back and I don't think that's good enough reason. I already said more than I would wanted to otherwise. If you want to know my name you have to lynch me. Considering this a most vote mafia, the town must be aware and ready for poor excuses like this to lynch someone. Vote Rummy to make it a tie. Elect Yvonne
DuD Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Just wondering why rummy has enough faith in the fish to elect him and also tales in yvonne when we know nothing of any of them. Pretty wary of this?!!! Elect: DuD thank you marca

Elect Yvonne The vote goes if you tell us the name, you're currently suspicious and it's flavour that could help. However, not knowing the character yourself you're worried, why would you be worried if you were town? You know that you're town. You're hiding something, and I don't get why. I'd happily remove my vote if you revealed the name like Yvonne asked for.
Tales Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I'm not hiding anything. Don't feed the town false facts.
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I think it'd be nice to elect somebody different, I don't like the idea of one person remaining in power too long. Out of interest, what are your reasons for your choice of candidate? (non DuD electing people) Despite being renegade voting Tales, I don't think Rummy is scum. I will conditionally elect @Rummy as leader providing he retracts his vote (@Tales would probably have to do the same). At this stage I'd say there's not enough evidence to vote Tales.
Rummy Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I'm not hiding anything. Don't feed the town false facts. Why so adamant about not revealing your name when under suspicion then? Why fighting so hard if you've nothing to worry about? I'll admit I'm always overly paranoid in mafia, but you really aren't helping your case in my mind either. I agree with not letting one person hold power too long, we don't know who/what happens to the mayors, and I think cycling it will give us a fairer lot of information as we'll get people with different interests, so it might say something in itself.

(non DuD electing people) Mostly because of what Yvonne said in post #55. And I don't want the same person holding power many days in a row like the rest of you.
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Yeah, it just seems quite suspicious to just straight up vote DuD again. I mean, why, @Marcamillian? I'm not even sure what you consider he's done a 'bang up' job at considering we know nothing about what the role gives. Although the paper did give us the leader's name, so in the interest of finding out people's names it would make sense to vote someone different. Note: Tails I am not one of the rest of them, I also want a different person in power. People straight voting the same person again to me seem suspicious.
Mr-Paul Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Vote Standings: Leader of the House DuD (3) : Marcamillian, DuD The fish (0) : Rummy Yvonne (0) : Tales Expulsion from the inqury Tales (1): Rummy Rummy (1): Tales

Sorry, I understand how I could be misunderstood. With "the rest of you" I meant those who want to elect someone else. I guess that part should have come first in the sentence.
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 That's good, in the interest of both of us wanting to elect someone new, we should really join our votes to ensure the same person is not voted. My suggestion of voting @Rummy is conditional on both of you retracting your votes so will additionally stop/help prevent either of you getting lynched. So what do you say? Also apologies for spelling your name 'Tails' :p
Tales Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I'm all in for that, I only voted because I had to make it a tie, otherwise I could be lynched by a single vote. That's why I need Rummy to remove it first. I don't think you're the first one :p
Rummy Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 The town have the power to place No Lynch votes, you know.
DuD Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 By electing me though you know exactly who your electing.. A tory called Greening who is in charge of transport. Everyone also knows my power. What do you know about Rummy? You could be electing the mafia don for all you know?? I think in order to elect someone they should first give details so we know we're not making a mistake. If this happens I'll gladly elect someone I can trust!
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 No offence intended, but you could just as easily be the Mafia don, or even a Mafia don disguising as someone else. I'm obviously not saying you are. Just that putting all your eggs into one basket is all swell and all if that basket is sweet. But if not, well...then your eggs will just be covered in shit. Statistically speaking (and judging by how I portray Rummy's comments) he is unlikely to be Mafia. But hey, I am new to the game so it's fully possible I'm wrong. :p
The Peeps Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Elect: DuD If someone else wants to be elected then they need to give a good reason.
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Elect: DuD If someone else wants to be elected then they need to give a good reason. Objection! Clearly Not! Elect: DuD why not He didn't have a reason at all and neither did you in the first election! :p
Rummy Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Err...nobody's trying to elect me? As far as I'm aware me and Tales are just trying to kill each other :p As for DuD, I'm not keen to elect him again as I think the mayorship should cycle to give us as much info as possible, simple as that.
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Well I will Elect: @Rummy. And vote: no one Anyone else who wants to have the elected leader cycle, let's get on board electing someone else. Well I will Elect: @Rummy. And vote: no one Anyone else who wants to have the elected leader cycle, let's get on board electing someone else.
Tales Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 As much as I want a new leader if it would be just odd if I voted for Rummy :p
Sheikah Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 You might be disagreeing about something but I don't think you think he's Mafia. If you changevote to no one then neither of you will be lynched. And if all 3 of us elect Rummy, there's a decent chance DuD won't be re-elected
The Peeps Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 The first election was completely random, I just voted for the first person to put themselves up for it. Now we have information on DuD and I'm thinking in a 'better the devil you know' sense. It concerns me that Sheikah is so willing to get a new leader but for some reason is not putting himself forward? Why shouldn't we vote for you Sheikah? Also Vote: No Lynch
