madeinbeats Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Rabbids Land Developer Demo Wii U NWR Exclusive
dazzybee Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I hope this turns out to be a pleasant surprise. Unlike most I like a good party game mini game compilation. The security mini game looks great
darkjak Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 So... is it official? Is "Land" the name gimmick that's going to be the Wii U's equivelant for everything being "Super" on the SNES and everything being the 64th installment on the N64? On a more serious note, the graphics are quite nice, if nothing extraordinary. I'd mercilessly bash Ubi for making this game, if they didn't make ZombiU as well. But since Ubi actually did, I'll go ahead and say: nice adition.
Retro_Link Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 I actually think it looks like a fun mini-game/board game title. Seems to have quite a nice visual polish and the games especially seem to have had a decent ammount of thought, effort and variety into them. Great one for a family/friends Christmas get together I'd imagine!
dazzybee Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 "The developers use the gamepads wide ranging gimmicks" What an utter cunt.
V. Amoleo Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 So did anybody end up buying this? How is it? Obviously I'm not expecting it to be awesome but is it enjoyable?
welsh_gamer Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) So did anybody end up buying this? How is it? Obviously I'm not expecting it to be awesome but is it enjoyable? I had the game in the house over the Christmas period. It's basically a poor man's Mario Party. You take turns throwing the dice, whether it's in single player mode or in local multiplayer mode, which is incredibly slow and dull, then you play a couple of mini-games. There are 19 in total, some are decent, but the majority are over in a matter of seconds and don't require much skill. It's fine, until you've played each mini-game, but that can take a while as you have to play them in 'board game' mode before getting access to them in freeplay mode. I'd only suggest going for it if you see it at around a tenner, and just want something light to play over a weekend. EDIT : What a coincidence - it's £7.99 at Argos Edited July 3, 2013 by welsh_gamer
