Mr_Odwin Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Drama featuring writer Douglas Adams's holistic detective Dirk Gently, who operates based on the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. An investigation into a missing cat is inextricably linked to a chance encounter with an old friend, an exploding warehouse, a missing billionaire and a plate of biscuits. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wqfl2 (Video clip at bottom of page.) Tomorrow (Thursday) night on BBC 4 (oooh, that doesn't bode well) at 9pm. I'm a Douglas Adams fan so I'll be watching it. Having said that I reckon it will be a bit cack. My two favourite authors are Adams and Pratchett (deep stuff) and anything of theirs that's been translated to a screen of some sort has ended up being naff.
MoogleViper Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 But now I've just found out that they're making a Dirk Gently TV series and he's going to be played by Stephen Mangan. FUCKING AWESOME!!! Can't wait for it.
dan-likes-trees Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Missed the start. Damn. They need BBC+1. Ah well, radiotimes tells me it's repeated about 6 times in the next week..
MoogleViper Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Well that was thoroughly disappointing.
