Pancake Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I want to go on the internet from my laptop, whilst sitting in bed, but my modem is in the far corner of my room, where my desktop pc is, and no way would it reach. Is there such a thing as an extended USB cable? Yeah i'm lazy.

Is there such a thing as an extended USB cable? Yeah i'm lazy. Use a wireless router. You can surf from bed, the toilet, in the bath, on the roof, and where within range. http://www.usbgear.com/USB2_extension_Cable/usb-extension-cable.html That may be of some help? Searched a bit more and you cn get 5M for under £2. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-5M-USB-Extension-Cable/dp/B000HOJQLS If its not long enough buy more than 1.
Jav_NE Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Surely its an ethernet cable you need if its plugging into the modem? You can get those in many sizes. Otherwise that 5m USB cable looks helpful.

Guest Jordan Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Oh sweet jesus. You can get USB ADSL modems still? Replace the damn thing with a router!
Pancake Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Yes i'm using a ADSL! Will try the other thing. Thanks guys. xx
Blue_Ninja0 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Man, I hated those USB things when they were "popular" around here. Screwed the network possibilities of every house they were installed on.
