Portlett Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 ok so im thinking about buying a 360 vga cable, any opinions on whether the more expensive ones are worth it or are the cheaper ones the same?
McPhee Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Bought a cheap one - it didn't work Don't think i have much more to say about that really, ended up forking out the £20 for the official one...
Jon Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Probably better with the official one, since it's analogue the signal quality can differ depending on the quality of the cable. Though to the average Joe, it's probably not that noticeable.
Emasher Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 For VGA ALWAYS go with the better cable. Make sure it has a ferrite core on it too.
Nicktendo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 In my opinion official Microsoft VGA pisses all over HDMI and Component. I have one and it looks awesome on my TV.

Nicktendo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 On my TV HDMI has awful lag and bleeding colours, it doesn't on VGA. No idea why. I think I have a crappy HDMI cable.
Emasher Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Probably. But in general HDMI is the way to go if you can. Though if you're hooking up to a monitor, VGA is the best you're going to get with a console. Since none of them have DVI adapters.
