SWatsi Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Hey all. Can I play games released in France on my GB Wii, and will the game have the option for English settings and english in the manuel? Also, I don;t know if anyone has any idea if there are any additional charges by ordering from France? If I have one delivered from France will it cost me anything more than I am invoiced? Hope someone has advice. Many thanks SWatsi!
Tellyn Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 It will play on your console, and it will have an English option in languages.
ShadowV7 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Yes you can play games cause it's PAL and from Europe so they'll work fine. The game should be in english but the box and manual will probably be in French(was like that for me when I got a game from there). It might cost you a bit more on delivery but it's not like your gonna get import tax.
Jonnas Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 1-Language: The language your games run in depend on your Wii settings. As long as it is set to English, any game from any part of Europe should run in english. The box will come in French, though. Around here, the manual usually comes in more than one language, but I don't know if that applies to the English/French manuals as well. 2-Prices: The only extra you'll pay will be related to the delivery costs.
Deathborn Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Concerning manuals, it depends of the game. Some have all european languages, some only have french and english, others are only in french (same for the box). But it's not really important since you can choose the language you want for the game itself.
steggy Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I got a french version of Wii Fit and can confirm what others are saying, with the added bonus that the manual for Wii Fit is in English (as well as about 5 others)
darksnowman Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I have no French Wii games but I have a few on Gamecube (Beach Spikers, Doshin and the like) and they work fine on both my UK GC and Wii. There may be cases where the games have no English in them, but the vast majority will do.
