Retro_Link Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Let the countdown begin... http://www.cubed3.com/news/11214 This coming friday 5TH Cell will be unleashing details of its third game so far. But will it be for Wii, DS or a non-Nintendo platform? Following on from the success of Drawn to Life and Lock's Quest, both on Nintendo DS, the team will be lifting the lide on its next original game on 5th December, just a few days away. Apparently "this never before seen concept will continue 5TH Cell's tradition of delivering high quality, original games with totally unique gameplay experiences." "We're very excited about the upcoming unveiling of our latest title on IGN.com. We built upon the experience and evolving technology from our previous titles to deliver something to the player that is completely new. This title is innovative, engaging and completely unique. We look forward to sharing it with everyone on December 5th". - Creative Director for 5TH Cell, Jeremiah Slaczka. "The success of our previous titles has awarded us the chance to work on a new, exciting intellectual property. After many months, we're thrilled to show off our new title for the first time exclusively at IGN.com. We're set on delivering an amazing final product and meeting the expectations of gamers everywhere." - General Manager Joseph M Tringali.
darksnowman Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 5th Cell said on one of the Nintendo Voice Chats that they are hoping to progress from DS to Wii/ home consoles, didn't they? I'm interested to see what they have in store, be it for Wii or DS.
Guest Maase Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Wasn't Lock Quest a boring game? My sister played it and said its very boring. My sister is 50% in taste with the Hardcore gamer, but the other 50% are shit tastes. Is this the former or the later?

Actually your sister only has an opinion, her taste isn't fact. I personally loved the Lock's Quest demo on the Nintendo Channel.
Guest Maase Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 She loves Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Zack and Wiki, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Disaster Day of Crisis and Wario Land Shake It. She completed every single one of the ones i mentioned above (and Metroid Prime 3 was on the hardest difficulty, not even i can do that) Also, just to add in the cake, she loves Megamen 9 (completed every boss except the final castle, but i can't really blame her, i had a hard time with it too) and likes playing at the same time with me Strong Bad Cool Game for Attractive People (I play, she gives me ideas on what i should do, she ended up helping me like 3 times until now) And as the cherry, she has only 10 years old. Sorry, my friend, but at least she has 50% of Hardcore Taste. About Lock Quest, oh well, i shall try it then at Nintendo's Channel
Tellyn Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Sorry, my friend, but at least she has 50% of Hardcore Taste. I don't care what games she plays, that's not fact. That doesn't even make sense, Maase.
Guest Maase Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Wait, i think i'm not understanding you. You aren't saying that Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Zack and Wiki, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Disaster Day of Crisis Wario Land Shake It, Megaman 9 and SBCG4AP aren't hardcore games, now are you? Hardcore taste = She likes Hardcore games and hates Casual games Casual taste = She likes Casual games and hates Hardcore games Its like tossing a coin when you have double taste, you sometimes think one thing, you sometimes think another thing in a different game even if you're contradicting yourself (kinda like me, but worse)
Tellyn Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I'm not contradicting myself, I'm saying your sister is not a basis for whether a game is 'hardcore' or not.

A good game is a good game. Forget the whole casual/hardcore nonsense, especially considering Lock's Quest is an RPG/"defend the castle" hybrid. Just try the demo. If you like it, try reading a few reviews to see if you could stand the flaws they point out. Eurogamer is usually reliable on this.
Guest Maase Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 RPG/Defend castle hybrid? Hum... i shall try it then, seems interesting
