Choze Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 New area. downloading... ...And still no car damage! No need for poor car damage. Unless Polyphony can do something good with it. then yes. Otherwise no. Right now no one has implemented it well in a realistic racing game. Let alone the racing aspect which GT5 does by far the best. Let see what they do with GT5.
MATtheHAT Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Is there still no online voice chat and matchmaking?
Cube Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Surely they could do something to sort out that OTT cleanliness? Sure, there's a hell of a lot of detail. But the super clean look just doesn't look right.
Choze Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 Is there still no online voice chat and matchmaking? GT5 will definitely have those as well as a ton of online features but Prologue will always be limited. Having said that they may do it. Demo build of the game at events(motor shows) have a friends option as shown by pictures on the internet. May just be a matter of time. The current update focuses on the Paris Motor Show. Surely they could do something to sort out that OTT cleanliness? Sure, there's a hell of a lot of detail. But the super clean look just doesn't look right. Its more nicer in motion. These images are extra clean and Prologue does not feature car getting duller/dirty option from previous GT games. Having said that there is always room for improvement in graphics the next gen. Maybe we can use car wipers?

MadDog Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I actually thought the top one was a real picture then....
Choze Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 I keep getting download errors Hmmm. Keep trying. It resumes from where you left even if the meter shows no progress (it recalculates). Mine went really quick but it could be getting hammered right now.

Choze Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Tried it about 4 times already. I'll delete the data and start again.. Hopefully, it works. Have not had any problems on my end. Using Sky with good router. I noticed you get more money on events now. So you can grind the easy/quick ones for quick money if you wish. Really want the Citroen.

Choze Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Definately isn't moving, oh well back to Wipeout Check your ports(UPNP on) and router. Some ISP also block them. shouldnt be having problems.
Ryan Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I remember it took a while to download the first update, but I'll mess with it..
Choze Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 I remember it took a while to download the first update, but I'll mess with it.. Just keep it there. If it cancels dont worry as any progress is saved. For example if you cancel at 90%, It will start at 90% the next time but display it as 0%. So you just have to download 10%. The citroen is need to unlock it.
