dwarf Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) Had a good clan match earlier, went really well, yet I'm still peeved that I didn't deliver the last propaganda thing - it doesn't matter that much because we still won, thing is I thought I was home and dry. I'd actually like to see a battle-replay because I was pretty much at the top of my game during that. Battle replay here. Very interesting. http://killzone.com/kz/tour_round_history.psml?kz_match_id=2910402&kz_file_id=2573064 Edited March 31, 2009 by dwarf
Choze Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Yeah great match we drew on objectives but won in the end. Dwarf really dominated. Fun match. We could have won the search and retrieve but only Dwarf was aggressive. The match after it was me and Warreng. We lost but it was close. http://killzone.com/kz/tour_round_history.psml?kz_match_id=2913783&kz_file_id=2576133 Unlock secret multiplayer characters! Button combinations at the link. http://www.killzone.com/kz/news.psml?kz_news_article=Secret+Multiplayer+Characters+Revealed Secret Multiplayer Characters Revealed01-Apr-2009 - by Victor Zuylen Category: News It looks like the cat's out of the bag: yes, it's now possible to play as Visari in the Killzone 2 multiplayer mode. Several players spotted the Helghast head honcho online following the v1.21 update, and the Internet has been rife with speculation since. In the interest of leveling the playing field for everyone, we've decided to reveal exactly how it's done. First, start or join a Warzone game as you normally would. Once you've spawned inside the multiplayer map, enter the following button combination within five seconds (the timing is crucial): If you hear the sound of a gunshot, that means you’ve successfully activated the secret character select mode. You can now enter the button combination for the desired character. To play as Visari, enter the following combination within three seconds while keeping the controller tilted to the left: Alternatively, you can play as Radec by tilting the controller to the right and entering the following button combination (again, within three seconds): That's all there is to it! Please note that the secret multiplayer characters are not exclusive to a particular badge, nor do they add new badge abilities – they simply replace the current model you're playing with. The voices for the characters remain unchanged as well. To see a video of the new multiplayer characters in action, click here. Makes sense as how Radec was the Tactician model in the beta. The codes and video are at the link. Edited April 1, 2009 by Choze
Choze Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) Killzone 2 tech demo is up on the US store. Looks impressive! Our clan match went badly. Our worst so far lol. Having said that we werent prepared for an overly tough battle. We will win more. Here is the battle replay: http://killzone.com/kz/tour_round_history.psml?kz_match_id=2993890&kz_file_id=2644686 Looking at it: Body Count. We should not have followed them into the theater. We were ahead at first. Assasination: They outsmarted us. Like the startegy guide they used the sewers. But then they changed position halfway. With ours they hit us hard. Capture and Hold. We won. Just kept two. Search and Destroy defend: Bad luck. They were in position at the start of the round. Search and Destroy offensive: With our will shattered. It was hard and i dont think we had any care since we were going to lose. Search and retrieve: Same. We actually got better at kills but couldnt get through. Mainly indivdual efforts. flameboy Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I'll give the battle a look later...sounds soul destorying

Choze Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) Haha Matt/Dwarf. You ran into my C4 alot for a change. The teams were not very good lol. Felt like playing first week. Taught them afew good tricks! Will set up some clan matches soon. We will be victorius. Anyone seen this: http://tinyurl.com/cmfkjp Its called 'Lovezone'. Edited April 8, 2009 by Choze
flameboy Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Apparently there is a big announcement regarding what's next for Killzone 2 on GTTV this week...
Choze Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 DLC? I don't know, but would be cool. Given its a podcast it cant be anything major at all. These websites have a tendency to overhype. I am guessing Home area, wouldnt mind a picture capture tool.
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I think more games should adopt the killcam feature. It's useful and you ensure that people can see your awesome skills. Optional of course, and if it is possible to save some moments then even better.

Anymore is just far too much info. Ingame XMB capture would be great. They have ingame music already.
Aimless Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Well, the GTTV reveal is definitely some sort of multiplayer DLC: Hermen Hulst' date=' Managing Director from Guerrilla Games will be joining Spike’s GameTrailers TV at 12:30 am this evening (late Thursday/early Friday) to reveal details about the first DLC for Killzone 2.[/quote'] At a guess I'd say 2 new maps and a new mode, plus a coinciding rebalancing patch. They don't really need to be too adventurous right now.
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Ah good cause if I'm being honest I don't really like to play this unless it's with people from the forum, gets boring.
Deathjam Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Ah good cause if I'm being honest I don't really like to play this unless it's with people from the forum, gets boring. YES Online co-op would be cool. AND YES! Although i dont think it gets boring without forummers, just other's general incompetence and ineptitude gives me a more worse headache than a cerebral bore.
Choze Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 YES AND YES! Although i dont think it gets boring without forummers, just other's general incompetence and ineptitude gives me a more worse headache than a cerebral bore. no game will solve human stupidity. sadly. play my rank only if you want tougher people. cool thong about killzone is the tournament system anyone caan take part. sounds like this is a news update only for online. coop is impossible givem the engine.
Daft Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 coop is impossible givem the engine. Wa? How is that?
dwarf Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I don't know how he would know that. Anyway, I'm not too concerned for a co-op mode. I'm not playing this as much as I did R2 but I'm not exactly sure why - I think it might be that there isn't a long enough ranking system or enough unlockables. The medals are good but there should be more equipment/weapons you can get after playing further (past/passed the top rank)
Choze Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 i am pretty sure you hsve played more than r2. you are over 70 hours... regarding coop its supposedly not possible due to designing the engine for single only. according to a gg employee. sounds likw rhis is just dlc news, no pricing or date. strictly onlinemode. so far so good about online , stunning activity for any online game.
dwarf Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 No I have definetly played more R2. My stats have deleted a couple of times and I know it's probably double or more playtime which is pretty insane.
Choze Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 No I have definetly played more R2. My stats have deleted a couple of times and I know it's probably double or more playtime which is pretty insane. I really doubt that. :p Time wise i see you on anyway. Then again R2 has been out for months. KZ2 has been intensive to say the least. I wish our KZ2 nights were longer. I'll be on earlier tommorow. Want to play around with the Scout. I wonder if its like a coop dlc with unique dlc levels. That could be a solution? Safest thing would be more maps. Which is obvious! The other fps are racking it in with new maps dlc. This week had 007 QOS mappack. Activision must be laughing to the bank.
dwarf Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Yeah because I've been playing this for just over a month, whereas R2 has been out since November and I'm still playing it.
Choze Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 (edited) Yeah because I've been playing this for just over a month, whereas R2 has been out since November and I'm still playing it. Makes sense. Didnt realise i am well over 150 on the online alone... Did about 75+ in the beta too. News up soon but sleeping. Edited April 10, 2009 by Choze
flameboy Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 God I need to play this online, problem I've had is sisters been on nights all holiday so far so can't play during day as would wake her up, then been busy most nights....I've still only played about 10 hours online
dwarf Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Here are the details: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/971/971822p1.html the first map pack will be called Steel and Titanium, and will be set aboard two large vehicles. The first one is set aboard the ISA tech cruiser New Sun, and will feature multiple decks that you can use to shell players below you. The other map is set aboard twin moving Helghast trains, and players will fight their way from one train to the other. While you can leap from one train to the other side at any time, you have to be careful, because you can accidentally collide with environmental objects or fall to your death. May buy it, depends on the price. Think I've bought too much lately though. The train level sounds quite demanding - if it's open top like the one in single-player then that's hard to get running smoothly with 32 online players.
