Daniel Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 My girlfriend has been connecting to the internet using wireless but her compter is right next to the router so i suggested using a cable. so i bring one round and plug it in and disable wireless on her computer but it doesnt work on mine i just plugged in the cable and it worked fine. Guest Jordan Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 I've had this issue on my laptop, it turns out its a hardware problem most of the time... Its a case of, the network connection is active, the service is active (for auto detecting network connections). It connects to certain devices, but others it just doesn't have it. In my case, it would connect to my 360 and straight into a switch but it wouldn't work when plugged into a router or into another computer.
