flameboy
Painting mine and my girlfriend bedroom...I split a little bit of paint on the carpet so she decided to just throw caution to the wind and just let paint go all over the carpet...safe in the apparent knowledge that we could just buy a new one...I said we can't as we simply cannot afford it...and there is nothing wrong with the carpet in the room...so now the challenge is to prove to her that I can get the paint out... I need winning proven ways of removing the paint...please help me!

EEVILMURRAY
If it's basecoat it should come out in a few washes or whatnot. Gloss on the other hand... thou would be fucked.
MoogleViper
Fire? Seriously thought I found this after a quick google: "Basically - getting paint out of a carpet is a b****, but this is how you have to do it. (I work in the Ring's End Paint center and customers have spilled whole gallons many times.) It works best if the paint is wet. Find out if its water oir oil based. If water use water, if oil use paint thinner. Dump this onto the carpet and use a scrub brush. Soak it up with rags or use a wet vac (This works best). Keep doing this and the paint will get thinner and lighter. You probably wont be able to get all the paint out but it will be unoticable." Dannyboy-the-Dane
... Vanish Oxi-Action? I know it works for many types of stains. And yes, it's actually effective, not just some dumb over-advertised product that can seemingly remove the tin in a tin can and still keping the can intact ...
