The Lillster Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 2 weeks from today, I should have enough money to buy the 60gb model of the PS3. But I want to make sure it is BC with PS2 games, is there anyway I can do this i.e a certain serial number on the box or are all 60gb models BC? All mods/admins on this board will suck your penis for free!
Will Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 All of the 60gb models are BC with PS2 games. Do you know somewhere that has them in stock? As far as I'm aware they're incredibly difficult to get hold of now.
Guest Jordan Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 60GB PS3's are basically impossible to find. Its a shame really, theres only PS1 back compat on the 40GB version. If you want to get one, you'll need to get one very fast.
The Lillster Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 Bargain Pages has quite a few in there.

My girlfriend was so lucky- we went to GAME a week before Christmas in Manchester and they had 1 left, with none left in any of the other shops. A brand new 60GB... fortunately I got mine a while back though.
flameboy Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 You might struggle to find one I know that most of the stores around here havnt stocked them for since way before xmas.

My mate saw one 2nd hand in Game for £335 with a game. I should have enough money for on this monday, so i'll do some thourgh searching.
Choze Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 If you already have a PS2 just keep and get the 40GB. The only thing missing from the 40GB is PS2 playback really and built in memory card readers if you are fussy. The 60GB goes for quite a premium.

I saw a good deal on a 2nd hand ps3 a couple of days ago. A 60gb PS3 with a game for £335
