jammy2211 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Actually these conferences are more tailored towards 3rd parties. They're normally tailered towards the Press, so that the Press can then go off and write about whatever Nintendo tell them. Although I'd imagine both third parties and the press would be in attendance.
Mayjest Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 OMFG MEGATON!!!! Ok that had to be said... I really hope this is true. E3 and leipzig didn't see that many announcements of new games so it'd be great for them to show this. Would be nice to see some hands-on Brawl and Mario kart tooo Hehe, I had totally forgotten about that! I reckon this conference is just for Nintendo to cheer about being number one again. Although something like more Brawl info would be nice...
Hellfire Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 O rly?? Fair enough then. Ya rly! What I mean is, the press will watch and so will us and whatnot, but the only real impact conferences make are for 3rd parties, because they can see what's being made with the console: graphics, control schemes, concepts, IPs and sales. I think that it's a big nudge to change their focus on X platform. The internet might be roaring with disgust or happiness after conferences, but sales wise it hardly affects anything.
Petey Piranah Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 These conferences are for shareholders mainly... Keep them happy (through reaffirming strong performance in terms of sales equates to maximised return on their investment through dividends/interest payments from debt securities) --> they put more money into the business = more investment opportunities for Nintendo = more games/consoles for us.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 From GoNintendo While I wouldn’t call it a 100% confirmation, it is just about as good as one. Reader Fathrim found a Japanese article that mentions the rumored conference that we heard would take place on the 10th. The article doesn’t state it as rumor though, it says it as a fact. You never know with Nintendo, but I’d wager that this event will indeed happen.
Zelda_Rulez Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 If there's a conference, I'm expecting nothing more than showing Wii Fit of again and some stuff about how well Nintendo is doing. :p
killer kirby Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 New Legendof Zelda plzz!1!!1! Still way to early for that me think ^_^
ShadowV7 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Don't think anything new will happen till E for All but it could happen. Could announce the headset or HDD and show it later at E for All. Let's just wait and see. MEGATON
Cube Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 New Legendof Zelda plzz!1!!1! We'll likely get a video of the next Zelda game.
Guest Jordan Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 What? You're joking! If we do get another Zelda game i honestly doubt we'll see anything before late 2008. Its not even been a year since the last one. My bet? Some kind of 'sim' like game, such as Nintendogs with microphone intergration for the Wiimote. Or they'll finally show a new trailer for Smash Bros, ha! We can dream :p
Ren of Heavens Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 What i expect: Smash Bros. Brawl playable for the first time! More info and footage from Mario Kart Wii! Wii Fit release date! Several playable WiiWare games! Disaster: Day of Crisis shown and Baten Kaitos 3 announcement! Link's Crossbow Training is playable! Mario & Sonic at the Olympics is playable!
