ReZourceman Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
gmac Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I was hoping for a double good week since Wolf-man was hinted at being next week as well, but no such luck! Probably the 10th then Bought Kingdom Come this week, that shit is awesome!
Happenstance Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Well ym first experience using ForbiddenPlanet.com wasnt a great one. Ive ended up cancelling the order as its just been sat on "Processing" since Thursday. Annoying as well considering I could have bought Superman Earth One in town that day for a couple of quid more. I think i'll just pick it up in town next week.
Daft Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 So Batman Inc comes out November 17th? I think I'm going to add this to my Batman Begins issue puck up. BTW, who does the art? I fucking love it.
ReZourceman Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (Batman Begins? Batman Beyond~?~) INVINCIBLE IS OUT TODAY. I AM PICKING UP TOMORROW PROVIDED IT IS IN. ---------- ANYONE READING AVENGERS ACADAMY STILL. Its awesome. Who do we think Striker's dad is, as its obviously someone. Electro? I don't know any other electrrieiriiasa.
Daft Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (Batman Begins? Batman Beyond~?~) Oh, yeah. The second one.
Happenstance Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Im not sure which Batman books i'll be following. Possibly Batman & Robin depending on the writer. These days I seem to be more interested in the other character books like Red Robin or Batgirl than the main ones.
ReZourceman Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Its the old team from GLC! Peter J Tomasi and Pat Gleason! Thats what I'm sticking with personally, although I think Inc is going to be great, I just simply cannot afford it at the moment, so MIGHT download, but reading comics on the PC does my head in TBH.
Daft Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Does anyone know who does the art for that page I posted?
gmac Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I think that's Frazer Irving who's currently on Batman & Robin
Happenstance Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 The DC site says that Cameron Stewart did the art for Batman & Robin #16
gmac Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 The DC site says that Cameron Stewart did the art for Batman & Robin #16 hmm yeah Stewart is on the current arc, but Irving definitely did that page, wonder if it's just a setup for the new lineup of books placed at the end of the book
Paj! Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Irving and Cameron Stewart contribute to 16. Frazer Irving is absolutely amazing. Loved his work on Klarion with Morrison, but his Batman and Robin stuff is stunning. I'm planning to collect all of Morrison's Batman run in trade form, Love eet, but need to reanalyse...in computational form a lot of the details are lost. So far all I have are Batman and Son, R.I.P and Batman and Robin vol.1.
ReZourceman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 "Rest" by NBC Sounds interesting. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=29229 AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!! OLIVER OBVIOUSLY NOT DEAD. IS HE GOING TO DO A CONQUEST AND GET A METAL ARM AT SOME POINT? THRAGG IS SO HARD. THE PLANET SHOOT. AMAZING,.
Happenstance Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I havent read the new Invincible today so i'll hold off reading that tag.. Bought this in town today though on the recommendation of my comic book guy. Any of you read it?
ReZourceman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I've not, but I've too heard good things and I love the concept. PS I did buy Supes Earth One. Only £12.99 which seemed pretty reasonable. P.S. GO READ INVINCIBLE. Someones gotta fucking read it for me to talk about with.
Happenstance Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Unfortunately my comic shop didnt have Invincible and just checked now and I cant find it in any of the "usual" places. Let me know what you think of Superman Earth One then.
ReZourceman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 HOLY CRAP! Dynamo 5 (last issue of the first mini series) was FREAKING AWESOME! They pulled an Invincible. Totally recommend it. They also announced the next mini series "Dynamo 5 : Certain Death" in the letters column. Sweet.
Happenstance Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Ive read it and I dont think it was rubbish. Not brilliant but an enjoyable enough take on Superman that I would happily read more of. The badguy was a bit bland though.
gmac Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I havent read the new Invincible today so i'll hold off reading that tag.. Bought this in town today though on the recommendation of my comic book guy. Any of you read it? CNV is awesome! can be confusing at times as several characters have three personalities so you have to pay attention Invincible #75 was the shizzle! Ottley knocked it out the park, those 4 double page splashes destroyed Vilrum were amazing!
ReZourceman Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Yeah. I don't think people could actually argue against him being one of the biggest talents in the industry. The inking is great too. Only thing I didn't like (in fact) was the inking of the front cover, but I'll forgive it because it was inked by Ransom Getty (who does the art for Guarding The Globe) Which I still don't have unfort. Should be in next week. Hopefully. Along with Skullkickers. And Morning Glories.
