I've just finished cleaning my snes but during the proces a screw felt on a capacitor leaving a little scratch on it (it's not really a scratch.. just a point (really a point) of the varnish label covering it is gone) should I be worried? the snes is working.. should I change the capacitor? thank you

Am I the only person who thought of Back To the Future when I read the title of this post?

In response, I haven't got a monkeys idea how to help Sorry :(

Hell no! I immediately thought Flux Capacitor!!!

Edit: Havent a clue about capacitors, whether they flux or not, tho mate :/

If you've only scratched the plastic do nothing, it should be fine provided theres no metal exposed and its not touching anything else that can conduct electricity. If you've turned it on and it works ok, then head the expression "if its not broken, don't fix it".

A few years back I had some equally lightly damaged capacitors on a motherboard. I thought it wasn't significant but then the entire motherboard died on me Hopefully your SNES won't be damaged.

Do you normally clean all your systems?
