Charlie Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I've got a load of things I've ripped out of the two old PCs I've got here.... So without further adue.... 2 x 128mb RAM 2 x XXXmb RAM (I think they're both 128, but I'm not sure, they don't say on them, possibly 128 and a 64) Wireless B Network Card + Aerial 10/100 Network Card 20GB HDD 6 GB HDD 4 GB HDD A Power cord (which fits into the back of a computer) CD-RW Drive CD Drive DVD Drive 350W Power-thing 32 MB RAM A PS/2 grey Windows Keyboard All the things which need wires come with wires of some sort, I'll post pics of the wires if you want to buy something and you can choose which one you want. Bid away, I'll take anything I can get for them really.
Calza Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I might actually be intrested in buying quite a bit of that stuff, to try and run a small Linux pc. I'll have to get back to you but I'll be intrested in the powersupply, RAM, DVD Drive.
Calza Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Hey Moria what happened to the old pc's processor and motherboard? I would be intrested in them aswell.
Charlie Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 There are 2 450Mhz processors and 'matching' motherboards. The thing is, one of the PCs wouldn't turn on and the other one wouldn't display anything on the monitor. So I'm not sure what the problem is, I think both will be in the motherboard somewhere, I changed the PSU on the one which wouldn't turn on and it still didn't work. There's also an ATX case if you want it, it's a pretty good one, front USB ports and headphone sockets.
Cube Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 How much for the 10/100 Network Card? (My new computer doesn't have one) And do you think it would work with vista?
Charlie Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 I don't see why it won't work wth Vista. I actually have the original box it came in. It was with a "Multiplayer gaming kit" along with another card and a wire, the wire is long gone, not sure where that other network card is. Shall we £4 including P&P? If it doesn't work with Vista (or at all) I'll give you a refund (minus P&P) as I don't want to rip you off.
